What happens when a science lesson stops being something you read… and becomes something you can SEE, TOUCH, TEST and EXPERIENCE?

That’s when curiosity takes over.

For our Grade 3 & 4 learners, a field trip to The Param Science Experience Centre (ParSEC), Jayanagar, Bengaluru, transformed science from textbook concepts into hands-on discovery.

From watching physics come alive through motion to exploring sensory phenomena, digital experiences, aerial science and optical illusions, every interaction sparked a new question — and every question opened the door to deeper learning.

The experience encouraged our young scientists to:

🔬 Observe before concluding
🧠 Question how and why things work
⚙️ Connect scientific concepts with real-world experiences
💡 Think critically and solve problems
🛠️ Experiment, tinker and imagine possibilities
🤝 Collaborate, communicate and learn from one another

Most importantly, they discovered that science isn’t just about finding the right answer.

It is about being curious enough to ask the right question.

At Aikya, we take learning beyond the textbook — because when children experience knowledge, they don’t just remember it.

What if the whole universe could fit into a little learner’s imagination? 🌍✨

Our pre-primary learners went on an exciting journey through the solar system as they explored planets, stars, and the wonders beyond our Earth.

Through their “Know Your Solar System” learning experience, children discovered that science can be playful, visual and full of wonder. From identifying planets to sharing what they know, every little learner had a chance to observe, remember, communicate and build their curiosity about space.

At Aikya, we believe the biggest learning begins with the smallest questions.

What if a banknote could tell you a story about India? 💡

For our Grade 5, 6 & 7 learners, a visit to Rezwan Razack’s Museum of Indian Paper Money became much more than a field trip—it became a lesson in how money, history and society are deeply connected.

As students explored the evolution of Indian currency, they discovered how banknotes can reflect changing economies, historical periods, national identity and the way societies function.

The experience encouraged them to:
💰 Understand the evolution of money and currency
📜 Connect financial concepts with history
🔎 Observe, question and research historical evidence
🗣️ Develop vocabulary and articulate their understanding
🧠 Think critically about how financial systems evolve
🇮🇳 Appreciate the economic and cultural story behind Indian currency

What if a field trip could teach us how to save the future? 🌧️🌱

Our Grade 1 and Grade 2 learners stepped outside the classroom and into a world of discovery at the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Rain Water Harvesting Theme Park!

Through observation, exploration and hands-on experiences, our young learners discovered how rainwater can be collected, conserved and used responsibly. They explored the importance of water, understood the need to avoid wastage and connected classroom learning with real-world solutions.

At Aikya World School, every field trip is an opportunity to ask questions, investigate ideas and become more responsible citizens.

The biggest lesson of the day?

Every drop matters. Every child can make a difference. 💧
