There was a time when I felt emotionally distant, almost numb.

Even in moments that should have meant something, I couldn’t connect. Everything felt… muted.

💭 That’s emotional numbness when life’s highs and lows feel out of reach.

Sometimes, I struggled to name what I was feeling at all.
That’s called alexithymia, when emotions are hard to identify or express.

Other times, my reactions were flat even when I knew I should feel more.
That’s blunted affect, when your emotional expression is dampened.

And then came those unpredictable shifts…
Laughter turning into tears, joy crumbling into frustration in a heartbeat.
That’s emotional lability, where your emotions swing without warning.
