There was a time when I felt emotionally distant, almost numb.
Even in moments that should have meant something, I couldnโt connect. Everything feltโฆ muted.
๐ญ Thatโs emotional numbness when lifeโs highs and lows feel out of reach.
Sometimes, I struggled to name what I was feeling at all.
Thatโs called alexithymia, when emotions are hard to identify or express.
Other times, my reactions were flat even when I knew I should feel more.
Thatโs blunted affect, when your emotional expression is dampened.
And then came those unpredictable shiftsโฆ
Laughter turning into tears, joy crumbling into frustration in a heartbeat.
