Daivakalagruham in association with Chitrakutam Art House is delighted to host Dr. Methil Devika at Bengaluru, for a two-day in-person Abhinayam workshop. This workshop is not limited to just Mohiniyattam practitioners but open to dancers of all styles. This workshop will be an opportunity to help any dancer, explore and improve their Abhinayam, beyond styles.

Dr. Devika will be teaching a Svati Tirunal Padam, in ragam Navaroj, talam Khanda Capu, "Dhanyayāyi Njān", at the workshop. A performance audio will also be shared at the end of the workshop.

✨ 3-Hour Make-Up – An Art Workshop | ANUBHAVA Series ✨

As part of the DaivaKalagruham ANUBHAVA workshop series, a short 3-hour Make-Up – An Art Workshop was conducted by renowned make-up artist from Kerala, Shri Prince T Narayanan. The workshop, held on June 13th and 14th, 2025, took place at our Old Airport Road ,Brookfield -AECS Layout and Channasandra- Whitefield branches.

Shri Prince T Narayanan delivered an insightful lecture and demonstration on make-up techniques for Indian classical dance forms, focusing on Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam.

💄 The session covered:
✔ Foundation — variations based on skin colour, type, and tone, with detailed discussions on water-based and oil-based foundations.
✔ Facial dimension — highlighting features, contouring shapes and lines, and using blush to achieve the right projection.
✔ Eye make-up — eye shapes, shadowing, lining, mascara, eyelash colour palettes, projection, and appeal.
✔ Lip make-up — shaping, shading, and colour choices for perfect visibility.
✔ Hair styling and ornament selection suited to different dance forms.

Our students graciously served as models for the demonstration, making the session engaging and interactive.
