An active touring Live Sound Engineer for popular artists such as , , , and .music to name a few, Akash Shivakumar has established his presence as a successful live sound engineer in the audio biz.

He is also the Founder/Chief Engineer at the Bengaluru based recording facility, Cadence Recording Studios. Having been an integral part of the Independent music fraternity as well as the Indian Film Industry, he has engineered over 150 records.

A few days ago, our alumni returned to Audio academy to share his workflow and insights from his career as a music producer! Always a pleasure to host alumni 🥂

New Year, new workshop calendar! 📅 Presenting the first workshop of the year with our alumni ✨
Here’s more about the workshop host:

🎹 Composer, producer and songwriter Ashish Zachariah is known for his unique style, blending and experimenting cinematic sounds with alternative rock, indie pop/folk and electronic music. Zachariah, a classically trained pianist has been heavily influenced by soundtracks and ambient music since childhood and has been working as a film and media composer for the past 12 years and has always been curious with exploring distinctive and obscure soundscapes gently merging it into his songwriting.

Working extensively and known for his vibrant music for films and television, Zachariah has experimented with a wider array of genres such as hip hop, blues, art rock, nu pop and indian folk for multiple commercially successful shows such as MTV Hustle, Youtube ARRived, Sony Jammin’ etc. Zachariah’s collaborative and innovative original score for the show School of Lies got him nominated for 2023 Filmfare Awards for Best Original Score.
