MUSIC ARRANGING is the art of decorating a melody by using Chords/Harmonising the melody, writing Counter melody/counter-point,choosing a particular form/style of music. Orchestration is the art of Using 1) the right solo intrument or a section-- like woodwind section,brass section and string section--for the foreground material/theme/solo's. 2) using the right instruments for the middle ground/counter melody. 3) Using the right instruments for background material....Foreground is generally the solo's, middle ground is the counter melody and background is accompaniment--which is the chord pattern or the harmonic rhythm.

A proud moment for the students of Stephen's College of Film Music for receiving the highest achievers award for the year 2025 from the Trinity College of Music London.

1. Akash Mayya received the highest achievers award for the highest marks in the Grade 6 Theory of Music exam.

2. Arpann Anthony received the highest achievers award for the highest marks in the Grade 3 Electronic Keyboard exam.

Hi Everyone

Thursday, that is on 6th August, one of my beloved students, Ujjwalla Das, came to my house to meet me and to take blessings from me. She presented me a beautiful photo of Lord Ganapa and a small paper Swan. She particularly presented paper swan to me because I always used to give her chocolate after each class, since she was a very small kid. I have posted the photo of the paper swan below.

She joined my music college in 2013 when she was just 5 years old. She was a very intelligent and fast learning kid. She completed the Grade 2 keyboard exam conducted by the Trinity College of Music London with Distinction. After that, she shifted to Piano Studies and successfully completed Grade 5 and Theory of music grade 4 also with Distinction.

Now, she is 18 years old and going to Alabama University in the USA to do her undergraduate studies in "health management". She has never forgotten to wish me on my birthdays and on Gurupoornima days.

I wish all the best, and I sincerely pray to the Lord God almighty to protect her, safeguard her, take care of her, and bless her abundantly to complete her undergraduate studies at Alabama University.

God bless you, Ujjwalla ma. My prayers are always with you.

Our Summer Camp student, Moulya B.P., discovered the joy of music composition during the camp and created a beautiful original song in Raag Mohan. 🎶✨

With creativity, dedication, and confidence, she not only composed her own melody but also performed it beautifully, showcasing her musical growth and artistic expression. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and delighted to have been part of her inspiring musical journey.

Hi Everyone

One of my beloved students, Anika Ragini Murthy, came to meet me on Friday at my Basaveshwara Nagar music college.

She was the student of my music college at Utarahalli branch from 2018 to 2022. She completed the Grade 2 Electronic Keyboard exam conducted by the Trinity College of Music London with flying colors. Now she is doing BTech.

She is one among a very few students who is in constant touch with me. She has become my 2nd daughter. Never forget to wish me on my birthdays and on all major festivals.

May God bless her always abundantly.
