The Department of Management Studies organised a two-day Capstone Simulation Workshop on 7th and 8th Sepetember 2026 to provide MBA students with practical exposure to simulation-based business decision-making. Dr. Nidhish Rao introduced the Capstone Simulation tool and explained its relevance for MBA graduates in understanding integrated business operations and managerial decision-making.
During the first day, the resource person briefed students on the functioning of the simulation tool and highlighted the key factors to be considered while making decisions, including market conditions, competition, financial performance, and the interdependence of business functions.
On the second day, students participated in Practice Round 1, followed by a debriefing session in which Dr. Rao discussed the mistakes made, identified areas for improvement, and provided guidance for better decision-making. Students then completed Practice Round 2, followed by a second debriefing session to review their decisions and reinforce learning through reflection and feedback.
The workshop enhanced students’ understanding of business simulation, strategic decision-making, cross-functional integration, and continuous performance improvement. It provided a valuable experiential learning platform for applying management concepts in a practical business environment.

The Department of Business Administration, NMIT, in association with IQAC, organised a guest talk on “The Entrepreneurial Journey: From Idea to Growth and Exit” on September 23, 2026, at Sammilana NSOM Block.

Dr. L. Harish Kumar, Head – Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Nitte (Deemed to be University), shared valuable insights on idea validation, venture creation, growth challenges and exit strategies. The interactive session motivated students to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.

The Department of Business Administration, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an Open House Discussion on “What is Really Happening in Democracy?” for MBA and PGDM students on 10 September 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Sammilana 104, NSOM Block. The session was led by Dr. Sandeep Shastri, Vice President, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. The discussion offered students an opportunity to interact with the speaker on his journey and experiences in political research, contemporary democratic developments, and the functioning of democracy in India in comparison with Nepal, Pakistan and other neighbouring countries. The session also highlighted the significance of voting rights, informed participation and the role of citizens in strengthening democratic institutions.

We were honored to have Dr. Anub Kurian, Founder and Senior Manager - HR (L&D) at Make Work Matter, Bangalore, as our resource person.

Dr. Kurian shared invaluable industry insights, actionable strategies, and the essential mindsets required to smoothly transition from academic life into corporate leadership roles. The interactive session by Dr.Kurian, left our future managers inspired, equipped, and ready to chart their professional journeys with confidence.

Ms Puja Kumari Manojkumar, a 3rd Semester MBA student, has won the Gold Medal at the 3rd National Combat Wrestling Championship that was held at Chameli Devi Group of Institutions (CDGI), Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Puja competed against a strong opponent from Kolkata in the final and secured the gold medal.
Her remarkable achievement reflects her dedication, discipline, perseverance, and sporting excellence. Balancing academic pursuits with competitive sports at the national level is truly commendable.

The Department of Business Administration organized an orientation programme titled “Beyond the Suit: Grooming, Etiquette, and Executive Readiness” for the MBA 2026–28 batch on 19 August 2026 at 9:15 AM at Sammilana, NSOM Block. The programme was designed to introduce the newly admitted MBA students to the importance of professional grooming, workplace etiquette, executive presence, and the behavioural competencies expected in the corporate environment.

The programme featured Dr. Sandhya Ravi, Principal, NSFTID, as the distinguished resource person. Through the theme of the session, students were sensitized to the fact that professional success extends beyond academic knowledge and formal attire. Personal grooming, appropriate etiquette, confident communication, professional conduct, and executive readiness are essential components of an individual's overall professional image.
The session aimed to help students understand the significance of first impressions, personal presentation, professional etiquette, body language, and appropriate workplace behaviour. It also encouraged students to develop a professional mindset from the beginning of their MBA journey and prepare themselves for future interactions with industry professionals, recruiters, colleagues, and clients.

The Department of Business Administration, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), organized an Orientation Programme for MBA students on concept “Heart, Mind and Soul – A Wellness Dialogue.” The session was held on 21 August 2026 at Sammilana, NSOM Block. The session was facilitated by Dr. Ashima Sharma, Assistant Professor, NSOM. The program emphasized achieving a healthy balance between the heart, mind and soul helping students to explore emotional well-being, positive thinking, mindfulness and self-awareness. The dialogue also highlighted resilience and the importance of healthy relationships. It encouraged students to value mental and emotional wellness alongside academic success and inspired them to begin their MBA journey with positivity, balance and a holistic outlook.
