Sometimes, the most beautiful beginnings are the ones we never planned. ✨
A young boy, recently introduced to clay, found inspiration in Handbuilt Ceramics by Kathy Triplett and created his own little world.
What I love about this book is how it opens up the possibilities of handbuilding through pinching, coiling, extruding and slab work. It encourages curiosity, experimentation and the joy of discovering what clay can do.
And what I love about this young maker is his willingness to explore, his confidence to make it his own, and the imagination that found expression in those little hands.
It reminded me of something beautiful about Ganesh Chaturthi - the joy of bringing something into being with our own hands - of giving form to an idea, a feeling, a story.
Clay simply invites us to begin.
