I was not ready to come to Bangalore and be part of a 4 month internship, but because of my condition, I wanted someone to really care for me. I wanted to be around people who would get to know me and where I could share what I was going through. I thought I could be at Face2face for a few days and then I can go back to my home in Hyderabad.
I was brought up in Christian missionary boarding school so I knew God but not really. But after coming here I realised a few shocking things about myself. I was very comfortable in my pain, suffering, loneliness and sickness. I was really ok with pain in my wrong relationships, I was okay with my sickness, I was okay with my brokenness because I didn't know anything other than this. I thought that this is how everyone lived.
What opened my eyes was an encounter I had in June 2019 during an A1 night sermon by Robin William. It was about being comfortable in our suffering. And when I realised my heart condition, I made a decision to stay on for a few more days.
My identity began to be restored bit by bit, piece by precious piece. One day our leaders started praying and prophesied over us that we are beautifully and wonderfully made. Because of things around me and the difficult circumstances I was not ready to accept that I was beautiful and wonderful. But for some reason, they didn't quit until I began to break open and believe it. They kept releasing that word over my life and that really opened my eyes and helped me to see myself the way God sees me.
I am very thankful to God for these 4 months of my life. It has changed and transformed my perspective and vision, where now I can see better than I could before.
