🌟 **STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAMME – DAY 6** 🌟
**25 August 2026 | Multimedia Hall | H. N. N College of Engineering**
The **sixth day of the Student Induction Programme for the 2026 batch** focused on familiarizing newly admitted students with the academic framework, VTU examination system, AICTE Activity Points and the wide range of student activities available at HNNCE. 🎓
📚 **Session I – Know Your Engineering Stream**
The day began with an introduction to the **CSE, ISE and AI & DS streams**, led by **Dr. Ashok Kumar A, Department of CSE, HNNCE**. Students gained insights into engineering education, academic expectations, discipline, attendance and continuous learning.
The **ECE stream** was introduced by **Dr. Shwetha V, HOD, Department of ECE, HNNCE**, highlighting the importance of technical knowledge, practical skills, problem-solving and continuous learning.
🎯 **Session II – AICTE Activity Points & VTU Examination System**
**Mr. Sunil Kumar, Department of CSE, HNNCE**, introduced students to **AICTE Activity Points** and emphasized participation in activities that foster teamwork, leadership, social responsibility and professional development.
An informative session on the **VTU Examination System**, including **Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and Semester End Examination (SEE)**, was conducted by **Dr. Sadashiva V C, Controller of Examination, VTU**. Students were guided on examination procedures, continuous assessment, discipline and consistent preparation.
🌱 **Session III – Student Life Beyond Academics**
The final session introduced students to the diverse opportunities available at HNNCE:

🔹 **NSS** – Dr. Chinni Krishna, NSS Officer, DHNNCE
🔹 **NCC & Sports** – Mr. Ganga Reddy, NCC Officer, NES
🔹 **Trekking** – Dr. Praveen Parthasarathi, Department of Physics, DHNNCE
🔹 **Cultural Activities** – Ms. Shwetha K S, Department of Mathematics, DHNNCE
🔹 **ECE Technical Club** – Ms. Shruthi B, Department of ECE, DHNNCE
The sessions highlighted how participation in **NSS, NCC, sports, trekking, cultural activities and technical clubs** helps students develop leadership, teamwork, communication, creativity, confidence and a sense of social responsibility.
👏 The Day 6 programme provided students with a comprehensive understanding of academic responsibilities and the many opportunities available beyond the classroom, encouraging them to make their college journey meaningful, active and holistic.
