National Design and Research Forum

The National Design and Research Forum (NDRF) was established by The Institution of Engineers (India) in 1985 by a resolution of the IE(I) Council on 11 August 1985 with a view to provide a National platform for engineers, scientists and technologists engaged in Research and Development activities. IE (I) recognized that the growth and development of engineering in India depends to a great extent on the ability of its engineers to absorb emerging technologies and also on innovations for constant upgradation of designs and technical endeavors. NDRF has emerged as a forum for exploring and disseminating new and emerging design and research concepts. NDRF is dedicated to provide an international forum for the discussion of design and research in the current issues of the nation.
