Strengthening Partnerships for Student Success
The Mentor-Mentee Committee at BGS Medical College & Hospital, Nagarur, successfully conducted a Hybrid Parent-Teacher Interaction Meeting for the Phase I MBBS (2025–2026 Batch) on 24 July 2026.
The meeting brought together faculty members and parents to discuss academic progress, attendance requirements, university examination eligibility, and the comprehensive support available to students throughout their medical education. Parents actively interacted with faculty members, making the session informative, transparent, and collaborative.

👶 Scientific Seminar on Picky Eating in Children
The Department of Pediatrics, BGS Medical College & Hospital, Nagarur, successfully conducted a scientific seminar on "Picky Eating in Children: Clinical Approaches, Nutritional Challenges and Evidence-Based Management" on 16 July 2026 at the MEU Hall, ACU Bengaluru Campus.
The session was led by Dr. Ramesh M., Professor and Head, Department of Pediatrics, who discussed the causes of picky eating, nutritional challenges, evidence-based clinical management, and the importance of early intervention and parental counselling in ensuring healthy growth and development.
A key highlight of the programme was the introduction of an ongoing clinical research study on oral nutrient supplementation in eligible children, conducted in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. The study aims to improve children's nutritional status and cognitive development through structured interventions and follow-up.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, resident doctors, interns, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals, fostering meaningful discussions on advancing pediatric nutrition and research.
