Monisha Arts, School of Performing Arts. Mohiniyattam Nrityavedi. Monisha Arts was initially called Nrityavedhi. The founder Smt.
The school which started in Indiranagar with a few students in 1979 has come a long way. Today, it is registered under the name Monisha Arts. Sreedevi Unni renamed the school in the fond memory of her daughter Monisha Unni. The school with over 500 students has created a mark for itself by propogating the artform Mohiniyattam in Karnataka. The school conducts classes in Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam.

My students and I are extremely proud and happy to offer our NAVATHI. (90th birthday) gift to Dwaraki aunty. She is our Guru, well-wisher, and ever-enthusiastic source of inspiration.
Narada Kuravanji (Rugmini Kalyanam), a Kannada dance drama in Mohiniyattam, is our humble gift to Dwaraki mam who uplifted Mohiniyattam to a higher level, enabling us to seamlessly blend in Mohiniyattam with the sweetest language, Kannada. On this occassion let me express my gratitude to the legendary flutist, musician and my mentor Dwaraki aunty.

The strains of that music, the waft of the gentle movement, the ti**le of inspiration…
I rise. I stand transformed. My dance – Mohinitattam began its inner re-engineering.
Breaking through the miasma, lighting a spark of positivity, of upliftment for the soul.
For dance is the penance that transcends time, space, nebulousness.
The elixir that restores sanity, progression, creative explosion -life!
