An inspiring initiative was undertaken by the Middle School Department during the Science Exhibition, in collaboration with the art showcase titled “Art for a Cause.”
An Art Exhibition was organized alongside the Science Exhibition, featuring imaginative and unique creations by our talented Grade 7 students. Each artwork beautifully reflected their creativity, effort, and artistic expression.
What made this exhibition truly meaningful was the purpose behind it. A stall was set up where parents had the opportunity to purchase the students’ artwork. The funds raised were used to buy art supplies, which were then donated to a government school. Through this initiative, students not only celebrated the integration of art and science but also developed a strong sense of empathy and social responsibility.
Taking the effort a step further, Grade 7 students and art elective students, accompanied by their class teachers, art teachers – Mr. Sharath and Ms. Sailatha and coordinator – Ms. Simmi Nair, visited the government school—South Zone Government Middle and High School, Bengaluru. They conducted a two-day art workshop for the students there. The response was overwhelming and heartwarming.
This experience proved to be enriching for everyone involved. It was not only a valuable learning opportunity for the students of the government school but also a deeply meaningful and eye-opening experience for the Gopalan students, fostering compassion, collaboration, and shared learning.
Our heartfelt gratitude to our respected Principal, Mrs. Rajashree N Chaudhri, and the Management for their constant encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support in making this initiative a grand success.
