The Siksha School

Glimpses of the Open House at The Siksha School held on 30th September 2023. Children and adults have patiently collated all the work done from the beginning of the academic year and displayed for Parents and visitors to view.
Children have personally explained each of the concepts that they are learning at SIKSHA, from year 1 to year 4, Language - English, Kannada and Hindi. Life Forms, Evolution of Earth, Math - Geometry, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geography and the list goes on...

The staff and management of “Karunashraya” Hospice for the terminally ill, Sponsored by Indian Cancer Society and Rotary, Bangalore Indiranagar are thankful for the contribution made by children of Siksha in cash and kind.

Children of The Siksha School, Elementary prepared Corn Salad with Chipotle Mayonnaise and Broccli soup with roasted Makhana. The preparation, cutting of vegetables, mixing, blending, cooking, all done independently by the Elementary children with minimal help from their group adults. Post cooking, they ensured the area was cleaned and proudly shared their dish with all children of SIKSHA.

Children of The Siksha School visited the Foundation for Education, Ecology and Livelihood project managed by The Kaigal Education and Environment Program, the CSR venture of Krishnamurhty Foundation India. The intention of this program is to protect and regenerate a large piece of degraded land adjoining the Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. The Yanadi tribal community which are the residents of this land benefit from this program with education, conservation and livelihood support. Children of The Siksha School had the opportunity to explore and experience the bio-diversity of this land and interact with the Tribals and the Self Help Groups and exchange views and learn about sustainable living. Children enjoyed their 3 day stay at Kaigal and are looking forward for their next outing.

Yoga display was based on the Dashavatara's of Vishnu - Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha and Kalki followed by Surya Namaskara. Children displayed their Taekwondo skills much to the delight of the Parent audience. Fun and interactive non-competitive games were organised for Parents and Children, the Parents were very sportive and supportive throughout the event, a big thanks to all!!
