From class room to the world around a child !
This activity of touching the birds feathers gave the children a tactile experience.
One of the parent was surprised when their child was intently listening to a bird chirp,and when the child insisted to know the name of the bird .Thus the learning was taken outside the classroom.
Parental Tip : Allow the child to take his/her own time to learn and assimilate things.
TRANSFERING ACTIVITY - SMALL PULSE
Transferring from one bowl to another without spilling was a challenge given to this child who is below 2 years. Don't miss the concentration with which the task is done. A very good activity for improving concentration and eye-hand coordination.
Parental Tip : To be a left handed or a right handed person comes naturally , any intervention will hinder the development of the Child. Give time to the Child to choose the dominant hand to work with .

Absorbed at work .
This material which is made by our team, is aimed at developing the child's fine and gross motor skills . But the child while playing, used it for counting also. Amazing us that a child under 2 years of age can be so innovative.
Parental Tip : Innovation is seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought.
When a child uses the same material to do something new, sit, wait and watch !

A Child draws before it writes ......
Writing is a process that begins long before a child tries to make symbols.
What are symbols : any pattern that you see around has symbols....be it alphabets and numbers of any language , characters, musical notes, art symbols, et al......
It is not necessary to push a pre-schooler into writing till they are ready for it. In our enthusiasm to see our child write an adult may demonstrate the symbols expecting the child to master by writing over it many times. No doubt this may happen with a lot of struggle for the child. If the adults are a little patient and provide the child with a lot of activities to develop their fine motor, the child will easily transit into writing and gain mastery over it. This will boost the child's confidence.
Pre-writing skills are very important for the child as it builds the fine and gross motor to have a good control over the writing instrument.
This Child who has not yet completed 2 years has finally figured out herself how to attach these blocks. Don't miss her focus in finding the right fit !
She was very happy on her achievement and wanted everyone to clap....a way of building self esteem.
Parental Tip : Building blocks are a good tool to kindle their Cognitive skills, Problem solving ability and Creativity. As adults we try to build and show, instead be an observer and provide opportunities to develop their abilities.... Patience is a virtue.

Exposing children to books at the right time makes them life long learners.
Every day ten minutes is spent by the children in the library. Children are free to pick any book .
They observe and learn how to handle books and take care of it, the do's and don'ts in a library from the facilitator.
Tip for Parents : The choice of books for Children should be based on the level that they are comfortable at handling rather than picking books based only on age. The habit of reading has to be instilled from the early years . The school and the parents should work together to achieve this.

Happy Independence Day 2019 🇮🇳
Kuhu celebrates Independence Day with the Children.
Tearing and sticking activity....
First time experience of tearing paper which is an activity for fine motor development.
It's very important during to help the child develop . Like as adults children too love to try new once they have perfected older ones. We at give new challenges every day keeping inind the development of a child.
