Attakkalari Dance Diploma Attakkalari`s Diploma in Movement Arts & Mixed Media .

The programme prepares technically sound and strong performers adept in varied movement approaches and provides an intellectually stimulating and supportive environment. Students are encouraged to evolve into creative, aware and thinking practitioners of the art of dance and dance-making. Attakkalari’s pioneering research over the past years into Indian physical traditions and the wealth of knowledge from its large pool of international artists is enormously beneficial to the course.

Dance and theatre practitioners, who missed out earlier, will get another opportunity to learn from the masters in a special encore workshop. The class will be on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. The fee for the workshop will be Rs. 1000/-
This unique course led by Usha Nangiar and her daughter Athira, is suitable for dancers, theatre practitioners and other performing artists who are interested to enhance their skill sets and update their practices with the wisdom from this rare tradition. The sessions will include the intricate enactment techniques of Kootiyattam that employ elaborate and detailed movements of the eye, facial muscles and body, coupled with breath, gestures and rhythm.
