Dear all,
Over the past few months, the Law School community has been in constant turmoil. Various issues related to students' mental health have come to light over the course fo several GBMs. That the Law School community needs to be sensitized is no recent realisation. We've been working constantly to better ourselves so that history does not repeat itself. We've also been engaging with the staff and the administration, seeking solutions to these issues. However, it is imperative that we do not let the spark die down and that we actively pursue to resolve mental health issues on campus to the greatest extent possible.
In light of the same, a group of students have come forward with yet another edition of LawSchool Productions. We seek to further the discussion by engaging with fellow Law Schoolites and presenting the apathy in the community from a whole new perspective.
We seek your support in this endeavour of ours.
Since the members of Law School Productions are amateurs, many of them are performing on stage for the very first time, any help whatsoever would go a long way in achieving our aim.
The play will be performed as part of the Univ Week celebrations on the 24th of May. We seek contributions towards the booking of a theatre as well as procuring of props for the play.
Contributions could range from ₹500 to ₹3000, as per your convenience. We seek a corpus of ₹20,000 for the entire production. Rest assured, the production is not for profit and is open for all.
We would also be extremely grateful if you could come be a part of the audience and engage with the current students.
Looking forward to collaborating with you and seeing you there!
Thank you.

Ladies & gentlemen,

Law School Productions invites you to attend the trial of Karen Andre. Wild & unpredictable, she is being tried for the murder of her employer and lover, Bjorn Faulkner, the great Swedish financier.

To the world, she was a common harlot entrapping a successful international tycoon. To Bjorn Faulkner, she was the only thing truly enjoyable in this world. To his aristocratic young wife, Karen symbolised nothing but cheap sexual indulgence & sin. To Faulkner's millionaire father-in-law, she was barely worth a second thought. What kind of woman was Karen Andre? Who murdered Bjorn Faulkner, if he was murdered at all? Only you, the audience, decides. This courtroom drama is anything but typical, for the outcome of the trial rests on the shoulders of the jury - you.

The cast (in order of appearance) includes Kashish Makkar, Pavan Srinivasan, Pratiksha Basarkar, Ritwik Bhattacharya, Vanshaj Jain, Sonia Shad, Smriti Kalra, Hamza Tariq, Rajashri Seal, Sarangan Rajeshkumar, Chhavi Singhal, Nikita Garg, Jeydev C.S., Enes Küçükzoroğlu, Rickden Bhutia, & Thejesh Rajendran. The play is directed by Malvika Kaushik & Anusri Kumar.

Tickets will be priced at Rs. 150 onwards. Part of the proceeds go towards a non-profit organisation called IDIA. (Do look them up, they do some excellent work.)

The play will be held at KEA Prabhath Rangamandira on the 20th of May, at 6 PM. See you there!

Law School Productions is extremely proud to announce that the play we'll be putting up this season is Hungarian playwright Zsolt Pozsgai's "The Virgin and the Beast".
This is an intense, dark play with its own comic elements. Auditions are happening on the 22nd, Sunday, the day after the repeats.
This play will demand a LOT of our time, and we strongly advise people to PLEASE NOT AUDITION if there are any other pressing priorities this trimester.

Hello!
Apologies for the hibernation, we're back and we shall be posting far more frequently.
As the holidays dawn, it is also time for us to seriously consider the production that we will be putting up this year. We've received some stellar plays on the email thread sent earlier and we've been looking at scripts depending on their feasibility.
Ideally we'd prefer a darkish comedy, but if anyone has any suggestions of truly exceptional plays, do drop us a message.
Cheerio and happy hols!
