Our Primary School Lit Fest this year was truly lit!
There’s nothing quite like watching our young learners excitedly pick out books they love. To wrap it all up, the festival ended on a high with some wonderful performances by our Primary students, inspired by everything they explored and learned along the way.

Eight of our students took part in an inter-school adventure challenge hosted at isl_bangalore competing alongside teams from four schools, and what an incredible experience it was!
From a 3 AM wake-up call to trekking rugged terrain at sunrise, to a midnight blindfold challenge, wall climbing, paintball, and obstacle races… this was no easy feat, especially in the April heat!
Through it all, our team showed incredible grit, teamwork, and courage; pushing through every challenge and supporting each other every step of the way.
More than just a competition, it was an experience and a learning moment; one that built teamwork, and confidence every step of the way.

Our Kindergarten learners have been diving into their “Who We Are” unit, learning about themselves, their relationships, and what it means to feel like you belong.
They headed out on a community walk around the Stonehill campus, meeting different people, learning what they do, and discovering why everyone’s role matters.
Such a fun way to see how a community comes together and helps us all feel connected!

Some of our grade 10 and 11 students wrapped up their International Award for Young People (IAYP) also known as Duke of Edinburgh International Award, and what a journey it was!
For two days, they were completely outdoors and offline (yes, no phones! 📵). They navigated trails the old-school way, pitched their own tents, cooked their meals, and learned so many outdoor skills along the way.
Sure, there were challenges! but that's where the magic happened. They figured out how to work together, communicate better, and push through when things got tough.
The best part? Seeing them realize just how capable they really are. They came back a little tired, very proud, and full of stories.

It is always special to receive an update from our alumni. So here’s a life update from our 2018 alumna, Sushruta Kokkula.
"The multicultural environment at Stonehill helped me develop an open and empathetic perspective, which has been invaluable in my current job as an International Accreditation Coordinator at the Council of International Schools based in Leiden, The Netherlands. I lead schools through the CIS accreditation journey, serving as a key point of contact between schools, accreditation advisors, and evaluation teams. Through this work, I help uphold the integrity of CIS accreditation while fostering a supportive and developmental experience for school communities. My personal portfolio covers all of Asia and some schools in the Middle East and Western Europe.”

Scientific inquiry in the MYP at Stonehill is not about quick answers, but the space to construct knowledge and experience the process of discovery.
Our grade 9 students flipped the script in physics: instead of learning the laws of reflection first, they derived them through hands-on inquiry with ray boxes, mirrors, and optical pins.
The magic happened in their questions: ""Why can't we only use ray boxes?"" This sparked discussions on precision and accuracy. When they geometrically predicted where an image would form, then watched a candle's reflection appear exactly at that point, theory met reality.
Next challenge: navigate light around obstacles using multiple mirrors. The laws they discovered? They held true every time.
They then connected their classroom puzzle to Michelson's rotating mirror experiment for measuring light speed and their curiosity exploded: ""Why were the mirrors so far apart?""

Recycle. Thrift!
Where student empowerment meets sustainability!
With support from an IB grant and a shared passion for caring for the planet, our students have brought their thrift initiative to life; reusing, recycling, and giving new purpose to pre-loved items. A small step towards making a big difference!

A lovely evening at our Annual Boarding Dinner at BLVD Club
From good food to a good time, it was a great chance for our boarding community to come together and celebrate. We also said goodbye to our grade 12 graduating students in boarding, who will all be missed by the boarding community.
A big shoutout to the students who’ve supported our house parents throughout the year, they were recognised with certificates of gratitude for all their help and effort.
A special night full of good vibes, appreciation, and memories to take forward.

Looking at advertising with a critical lens. Our grade 9 students explored controversial marketing by creating posters for different products to understand how certain messages can grab attention, influence opinions, and start important conversations.
