Healthy Living Fiesta 🥗✨

On Saturday, 26th April, Gurukul Bangalore had a fun and lively session, which was all about healthy living!

The class included:
• Om Chanting 🙏: Starting the day with calm and focus.
• Recap & Good Deeds Sharing ✨: Kids shared their good deeds with big smiles.
• Zumba Time 💃🎶: Everyone danced and had a blast with some fun Zumba moves!
• Quote Reflection 💬: We spoke about a beautiful quote by Dada J.P. Vaswani that reminded us — good health is the most precious gift we can have.
• Story and Chat 📖: A simple and fun talk about different types of foods and healthy habits.
• Jingle Time 🎶: The kids learnt a sweet little jingle — “Happy stomachs ➡️ Joyful hearts ➡️ Productive mind and body!” — which became the key takeaway of the day!
• Salad and Milkshake Making 🥗🍹: The kids made colorful salads and enjoyed a yummy mango milkshake together!

The class ended with happy hearts, healthy plates, and lots of laughter!

Boomerang of Goodness & Hanuman Jayanti 🌀🕉️

On Saturday, 12th April, Gurukul Bangalore held its soulful bi-monthly session with a theme that reminded us how kindness always finds its way back — just like a boomerang.

The class included:
• Om Chanting 🙏: A peaceful start to set the tone.
• Recap & Good Deeds Sharing ✨: Children joyfully read out entries from their Good Deed Books.
• Story & Interactive Session 📖: A heartwarming discussion on how good deeds always return manifold.
• Thought of the Day on Lord Hanuman ️🕉️: In honor of Hanuman Jayanti, a special reflection on his strength, devotion, and service.
• Craft Activity 🎨: Kids got creative making their own paper boomerangs.
• Meditation on Lord Hanuman 🧘‍♂️: A calm and powerful close to the session.

The class ended with smiles, takeaways on kindness, and the promise of good returning to those who give.

The joy of the festival of colors continued on Saturday, 29th March, as Gurukul Bangalore conducted its bi-monthly session. The activities included:

- *Om Chanting* 🙏: Starting with a calming chant.
- Story Relating to Colors 📖
- *Explanation on Variety and Equality* 🌈: Emphasizing appreciation for individual uniqueness.
- *Craft Activity* 🎨: Kids created their very own colored paper pichkaris.
- Class ended with a prayer prasad distribution 🍰

The session concluded on a vibrant note, spreading joy and colorful memories among the children.

On Saturday, 8th March, Gurukul Bangalore celebrated the festival of Holi. The activities included:
• Om Chanting 🕉️: Starting with a calming chant.
• Holi Stories 📖:
• Prahlad & Holika 🔥: Good defeats evil.
• Krishna & Radha 🎨❤️: Celebrating love and colors.
• Water Conservation 💧: Discussing daily uses like drinking and cleaning, and the need to save water during celebrations.
• Art Activity 🎨: Kids painted using brushes and straws, expressing Holi’s spirit.
• Closing 🙏🍬: Ended with a prayer and sharing of prasad.

This session blended cultural learning, environmental awareness, and creativity, embodying the true spirit of Holi. Thank you Dada! 😇

Gurukul Class - 22 nd February 2025 - ‘Bum Bum Bhole’

📝 Key takeaways:

🎶 In the spirit of Thanksgiving week the children first recapped the song ‘Million Million Thanks’ that they learnt in the previous class.

🎶 Then, along with the music, the children chanted ‘Om Namah Shivay’ to begin the class & learnt why we chant 🕉️.

🎥 Significance of Maha Shivratri- The children watched a short story on why it’s celebrated. 🔱 Then there was a short quiz on it.

🙏 They also offered ‘Jal’ to the Shiva Linga located at the temple in the same premises.

🕺 Movement - The children learnt a short, fun dance to ‘Namo Namo Shankara’.

✍️ Then they were taught how to write/ draw the symbol OM 🕉️ & write Om Namah Shivay 11 times!

It was a wonderful Lord Shiva immersive class! ✨🙏

🌟 Gurukul Class - 25th Jan 2025 🇮🇳✨

Our *“Mera Bharat Mahaan”* themed class was a wonderful experience for the kids! 🎉

🕉️ We started the session with *Om chanting*, creating a serene atmosphere.
🎥 The children watched an inspiring video – “Happy New You” by *Didi Krishna*.
🧠 An exciting *India Quiz* was conducted, making learning fun! 🇮🇳❓
🎶 The kids enjoyed learning and singing *“Hum Honge Kamiyaab”* with actions, filling the room with hope and enthusiasm.
🟧⚪🟩🟦 They also learned about the significance of the four colors of our *national flag.*
🎨👒 The creative minds at work made Indian flag caps and the children were given a bookmark with *Beloved Dada’s quote* to take home. 🔖

It was a truly memorable and enriching session, leaving everyone with *smiles and love for the nation*! ❤️🇮🇳

Our first session of the year was all about positivity and learning! Here’s what we did:

🎨 Theme: Happy New You & Harvest Festivals
✨ Highlights of the class:
• 🕉️ Started with a calming Om chanting session
• 📚 A warm Introduction to Gurukul for the new year
• 📖 Storytelling & interactive session about harvest festivals celebrated across India — and the different names they are known by in various states 🌾🪔
• 💖 Introduced the Good Deed Book — kids are encouraged to do a good deed every day and write or draw it in the book!
• ✂️ Collage making on good deeds, with kids sharing their thoughts 🖼️
• 🙏 Ended with a peaceful closing prayer
