Bridging Borders in Finance Education: Global Academic Exchange between SIBM-Bangalore and VIVES University, Belgium

It's our pleasure to share that Dr. Bikramaditya Ghosh, Professor of Finance at SIBM Bengaluru, has successfully completed his teaching assignment at VIVES University of Applied Sciences, Belgium, for the Spring 2026 semester. This engagement was part of the prestigious Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Project.

During his spell in Belgium, Dr. Ghosh significantly contributed to the international academic discourse by delivering specialized courses in: Doing Business Outside Europe: India, Behavioural Finance, Microfinance and Investment Management.

Since very long time, Dr. Ghosh has been instrumental in fostering a robust academic bridge between SIBM Bengaluru and leading European universities. His sustained commitment to applied teaching, learning process and cross-cultural pedagogy underscores our mission to provide a truly globalized education.Our Best wishes to Dr. Ghosh for his continued dedication to advancing finance education on a global stage through this Project and for many more such initiatives in the days to come.

The TCS World 10K Bengaluru, organized by Procam International, stands as a preeminent World Athletics Gold Label race. It serves as a vital intersection for elite athletes, corporate executives, and fitness enthusiasts, fostering a unique ecosystem of health, Community engagement, and social responsibility.

Socio-Economic & Health Impact Study:

At the 2026 edition of this landmark event, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru partnered with Procam International to conduct a comprehensive Socio-Economic & Health Impact Study. A dedicated research delegation, comprising 5 faculty members and 40 students, spearheaded the data collection from the Marathon runners, the phase during the Active Expo from 23–25 April 2026. This on-ground engagement allowed for a rigorous analysis of the event's broader influence on the region’s economic and public health landscapes.

Key Institutional Outcomes

Applied Research: Students gained first-hand experience in managing large-scale data sets and conducting field research within an international event framework.

Skill Development: The initiative provided a platform for participants to refine their analytical, stakeholder management, and professional communication skills.

Academic Integration: This collaboration underscores SIBM Bengaluru’s dedication to bridging the gap between theoretical academic rigor and practical, real-world application.

Through this partnership, SIBM Bengaluru continues to reinforce its commitment to impactful research that contributes to the community while providing students with invaluable industry exposure.
