This week’s loot. 😂

Some questions though..
1. Am I a good with or a mean one?
2. Did they realise that UKG babies watching Grade 3 rehearsals is impactful?
3. Did you notice my name has a new spelling now?
4. What’s that art form callled?
5. Why do I have an aeroplane.. that doesn’t work..?

The context to this is:

We’ve been working a theatre performances for a few weeks now and the kids have been working hard, dealing with the heat and trying to understand and execute a satire.

Not easy. Especially for second graders. But my kids were amazing and displayed high intellect, empathy and a leap of faith into this production.

With ridiculously little resources, they pulled off a great performance.

I’m so happy.

…lies in the fact that you can do it with a lot
or very little resources.

All you need is an educator who understands that.

Storytelling mornings in schools have always been some of best experiences, always.

Children love sharing their thoughts and experiences, but sometimes they are not sure if the adults in their environment have the time or patience to listen.

Since children are quick at picking up signals and adapt faster than we can even say it, they may not always share their thoughts (happy or concerning).

BYOS is a space that provides them with an audience similar to their age, where they can share, talk, listen to relatable stories; basically their own get together, where no one is going to correct them, alive them advice, reprimand them or dismiss their feelings.

The sharing circle is moderated by Anumeha Fatehpuria.

Anumeha has been working with young learners for over two decades now, and bring a vast variety of experience and loads of patience to the sessions.

She is a trained Montessorian and Theatre practitioner. She has also worked in the healing space and factors in her experience of working with children of different age groups and learning needs.
