Great initiatives leave a lasting footprint! The Sagara Science Forum is on a mission to reimagine science education for rural students, and we are so honored that our Young Innovators Bootcamp has been featured in the Deccan Herald. Looking back at those 5 immersive days, our goal was to take science out of the textbook and put it directly into the hands of our students. Through project-based learning, participants explored the physical sciences by building their own aerodynamic gliders, assembling smart robotics circuits, and conducting real astronomical observations. By providing these experiential learning opportunities, we are ensuring that the youth in our rural communities become the active problem-solvers and scientific thinkers of tomorrow.

Today, 24-04-2026 Friday at 12:17 pm IST, Bengaluru along with regions that lie in the 12.9 degrees North Latitude experienced Zero Shadow Day.
Zero Shadow Day is a celestial that can be experienced twice a year for locations that lie in between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. During this event, the Sun reaches maximum altitude in the sky, for that location, and vertical objects will cast their shadows directly below them, appearing as if there is "zero shadow". This is caused due to the tilt of the Earth which causes the Sun to appear to move Northwards and Southwards throughout the year.
A brief session regarding the event and its reason was conducted at the YI office.
