Our Independence Day celebration at EKA was a memorable journey of patriotism, filled with cultural performances, patriotic songs, and a freedom-fighters fashion walk.✨

Our students came together dressed as lesser-known freedom fighters, honouring their courage and sacrifices while celebrating the spirit of India’s freedom.

A truly inspiring visit to The Flip Side in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad!💛

Founded by Mrs. Urmila Hemmadi, The Flip Side Workspace is a beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated space for young adults with special needs aged 16+.

What stood out was the strong focus on moving beyond academics and towards pre-vocational skills, independence and meaningful adult life. From workplace readiness to plans to independent living skills and greater community participation, the vision is both practical and empowering.

A very happy to visit the centre by our founder Ms Santhi, to understand their approach and see the possibilities of what can happen when young adults are given the right opportunities, environment and support to become more independent.

Looking forward to exploring meaningful collaborations between Eka and The Flip Side and creating more opportunities for our young adults to learn, work, participate and thrive.🌱✨

Here’s to building more spaces where ability takes centre stage and independence becomes the goal.❤️

Through this special initiative, mothers from the EKA Family are sharing short stories of the remarkable individuals, keeping their memories and stories alive for the next generation.

The workshop is designed to help parents confidently navigate conversations around relationships, consent, body safety, and sexual health with their children.
