Expert talk on “Operational Analytics” by Ms. Harshini M.C, Sales Processing Analyst, HPE who shared her expertise on how operational analytics is becoming a critical part of modern business. She explained that analytics is not just about making decisions it is also about staying vigilant, continuously learning, and up skilling to remain competitive in today’s fastchanging environment. Ms. Harshini made the session interactive by encouraging students to reflect on why companies should hire them and what unique value they could bring to organizations. She posed probing questions and used a coffee shop scenario to help students explore ways to improve operational efficiency, such as managing inventory, streamlining processes, and enhancing customer service. She also highlighted what
corporates look for in fresh talent today adaptability, analytical thinking, and the ability to make a real difference. By drawing on examples from industry practices like supply chain optimization, she showed how operational analytics transforms raw data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction. The session inspired students to see analytics not just as a technical skill but as a mind-set that empowers them to contribute meaningfully to business success. Overall, the talk reinforced the Business Analytics Club’s mission to bridge classroom learning with industry expectations and prepare students for impactful careers.
