World Ocean Day -June 8, 2026
The ocean covers 70% of our planet and produces half the oxygen we breathe. It feeds us, regulates our climate, and supports millions of livelihoods. But it can’t protect itself. This year’s theme, “Strong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet”, is a call to move-from promises to protection-By safeguarding 30% of our ocean by 2030, we give marine life space to recover, keep fisheries thriving, and build climate resilience. Whether you live by the coast or inland, the ocean is your life support system. Let’s reimagine our relationship with it — not as takers, but as guardians.

Happy World Food Safety Day
Food brings us together, but only safe food keeps us healthy. From the farm to our kitchens to our plates, every step matters — washing hands, cooking thoroughly, storing right, and checking labels. Unsafe food affects 1 in 10 people each year, yet most cases are preventable. This World Food Safety Day, let’s remember: food safety isn’t just a regulation, it’s a responsibility we all share. Because good food is safe food, and safe food today means a healthier tomorrow.

International Day for Biological Diversity,May 22
Biodiversity isn’t just about rainforests and oceans far away. It’s in our backyards, community gardens, local ponds, and even the soil under our feet.
This year's theme is " Acting Locally for Global Impact" and it reminds us that major change begins with small, local steps- From planting native trees, protecting pollinators, cutting plastic use, to supporting local conservation — every action counts.
