We feel proud to share that EEE, DSATM current final year students won the 3rd prize in the recently held National level techno exhibition at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore on April 13th, 2025.

The project was jointly made by students Rajesh Babu BR, Shamsheer, Raksh*th Gowda D, Shivakumar and guided by Prof.Ramya S Rajan. It stood out among 150 different projects in the innovative projects in the social relevance category.

Students got thrilled as they received the prize directly from Chief Guest of the event honourable High Court Judge, Justice Pradeep Singh Yerur.

Project Title - Disign and development of RFD Based security system for lineman, Fault and Overload detection in distribution side.

The team has made the department and the institute very proud. Congratulations!

Project based learning

A mini project exhibition was organised by EEE Dept of DSATM on 14 Dec 2024. The 5th semester students of EEE Dept worked hard on their projects and put those models on display in the exhibition. The projects were comprised of functional hardware models supported by software. Special mention to Prof. Rashmi Pattan of EEE DSATM for coordinating this exhibition.

On Dec 10th' 2024 Mr. Karthik Chikmath, an established young entrepreneur delivered a talk for current 5th semester students of EEE Dept, DSATM. The content was carefully planned to let the students know about start ups, financing, marketing and networking associated with business. The possible challenges, that could arise for a start up were also highlighted. It was completely different from existing course curriculum. The talk was quite inspiring for the students. Prof. Gopal Chandra Sarker of EEE DSATM coordinated the event.

The 3rd edition of Auto EV exhibition 2024 in Bangalore, was slated as one of the premier exhibition on Electric Vehicles worldwide. It showcased the most upcoming and futuristic technology in the areas of EVs. On 29th November, the current 5th semester students of EEE, DSATM made a visit to this exhibition in Whitefield Bangalore. They were accompanied by Dr. Kasi Viswanathan and Prof. Rajath of EEE Department.

The students got thrilled and educated as well. It was a fantastic exposure on concept and application of EV technology. The know-how of new hardware and software used in EVs was one of the key takeaways.

A 3 days workshop was recently conducted by the EEE Dept of DSATM for current 5th semester students. The workshop was titled "Introduction to Electric Vehicle Development using Model Based Design using MATLAB". It was aimed to add values to the existing curriculum. Mr. Raksh*th of CoreEL was the resource person. The students got immensely benefitted from the workshop.
