Here is the first submission from Aadya Gupta:
Little Red Riding Hood.
From the wolf’s perspective

One fine day, as I was minding my own business, I saw a little girl picking berries from my path. As I went there to see who it was, the little girl came up to me and started blabbering about herself, visiting her grandmother and taking all sorts of sweets to her. She had forgotten that neither was she supposed to talk to a wolf, nor did I ask her anything. Nevertheless, she kept of talking and told me the way to her grandmother’s house,” My grandmother’s house is a mile towards the lake and then a left and a few steps forward. ” After a few more minutes of talking, she finally started going towards her destination.

I went behind her just to make sure she went safely without talking to any other strangers. I lost her along the way and decided to take a shortcut. Being a wolf meant walking, talking and howling loudly. The girl’s grandmother heard me and called me inside thinking that I was her granddaughter. As soon as she saw me , she started screaming so loudly that the whole forest could hear her. The woodsman lived near-by and I got frightened as he had already threatened to kill me a few times before. I gobbled up the poor lady out of panic. Just a few minutes later, little red riding hood came along. I thought that she would too scream when she saw me in her grandmother’s house so I quickly dressed up as her grandmother and got under a blanket. As soon as she entered, she commented on my big ears, big eyes and big teeth,
“ Oh my! What large ears do you have.”
“ All the better to hear you, my dear.”
“What large eyes you have grandmother!”
“All the better to see you, my dear.”
“What large teeth you have!”
“All the better to eat your delicious sweets with, my dear.”
Then all of a sudden, she realized that I was a wolf, not her grandmother and started screaming. I again panicked again and gobbled up little red riding hood. Unfortunately, the woodsman heard the girl this time and came rushing over to the old lady’s house. He soon understood what happened but got his story wrong, which makes me the bad guy in most people’s stories. He cut me up and pulled out little red riding hood and her grandmother. Little red riding hood got very angry and asked the woodsman to chop me up and throw me out. The grandmother had some mercy on me and sew me up before the woodsman threw me out. Both, little red riding hood and the woodsman told everyone the wrong story for years and years until someone finally asked me what happened. Still most people think that I was the bad guy.

The Hero of the story is the person around whom the story revolves. Male, female, negative or positive does not matter. You change the hero and the story shifts.
Most of us know the story of 'Little Red Riding-hood'. So what will happen if the hero is the wolf?
Give me 500 words on the re-written tale with the wolf as a story and the winner gets this wonderful book!
