We at Promise Centre focus on educating the hands, heart and head of the child with activities that provide the quality of repetition, rhythm and reverence. These activities strengthen the will of the child instilling him with confidence and self reliance, thus preparing him for entry into the more formal educational years. The Early Years Programme at Promise Centre- is embedded in the world of nature, play, music and stories. Play with natural material strengthens the imagination , allowing young children to develop and deepen their concentration, consolidate their understanding of the world and become creative sociable, adaptable and inwardly flexible. To meet the learning needs of a young child, opportunities are provided for communication, imitation, imagination and joyful experience. While singing in the morning circle or while playing make believe, these serious learning aims are being met. The child learns to participate in a social setting, to communicate effectively, follow instructions and to imitate worthy activities. This process is supported and enhanced by activities using language, movement, craft, puppetry, seasonal celebrations, music and meaningful daily tasks.After embracing and experiencing the benefits of this holistic methodology the parents at Promise Centre have expressed a need for the expansion of the school.
