Smrti Academy Conducts POCSO, POSH & Student Safety Awareness Sessions

Smrti Academy organized an awareness session on POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) and POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace) for teachers and administrative staff. The session emphasized the importance of child safety, creating a secure school environment, understanding legal responsibilities, and promoting professional conduct.

In parallel, on 18th July 2026, the school conducted an Awareness Session on Social Media Safety and Age-Appropriate Personal Safety Education for students. The interactive session helped students understand safe online behaviour, responsible digital citizenship, personal boundaries, and ways to seek help when needed.

Both sessions were led by experienced counsellors Ms. Vidya and Ms. Lalitha Ravichandran, who engaged participants through practical examples and meaningful discussions, reinforcing Smrti Academy's commitment to the safety, well-being, and holistic development of every child and all its staff members.

At Smrti Academy, our Investiture Ceremony was a proud and inspiring occasion that marked the formal induction of our newly elected Student Council.

The ceremony began with a meaningful plant-watering ritual, symbolizing that just as water nurtures life, leadership, learning, and values should continue to grow and flourish.

Our young leaders then marched confidently towards the dais, followed by the sash and badge presentation ceremony, where they were officially entrusted with their leadership responsibilities. A memorable highlight of the event was the handover of the house and committee flags, representing their commitment to lead with integrity, responsibility, and teamwork.

The presence of parents made the occasion even more special. Watching their children step into leadership roles was an emotional and proud moment, and many expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Smrti Academy for providing such meaningful opportunities that nurture confidence, character, and leadership.

Smrti Academy – Proud Partner of the International Chess Federation Championship

Smrti Academy was honoured to be a proud partner of the International Chess Federation Championship. The prestigious event brought together around 830 chess players across multiple age categories, who competed through 9 challenging rounds with remarkable focus, patience, and sportsmanship.

The championship was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of strategy, perseverance, and young talent. It also provided a wonderful opportunity for Smrti Academy to connect with hundreds of parents who accompanied their children to the event.

The organising team received overwhelming appreciation from participants and parents alike. Many visitors expressed how impressed they were by the warm hospitality, positive atmosphere, and welcoming environment of the school.

With a prize pool worth ₹2,00,000, the championship concluded on a grand note, recognising the outstanding achievements of the participants. We are proud to have been associated with such a successful and inspiring event and look forward to supporting many more platforms that nurture excellence in young minds.
