English as a language in today’s world is very essential in every part of life. A person going to a bank needs to fill up a cheque or a challan in English. Filling up any form in any office requires the use of English. If you do not know English the chances of you getting a good job is practically nil . A job profile requires you to be conversant in English .In today’s world a person may have a lot of knowledge, but how will the world know what knowledge he/she has if he or she does not share it in a language commonly understood by all. So English becomes the link language.
