we capacitate children to explore and learn from their surroundings through games, experiments and projects.

Our programs are curriculum integrated, children actually connect their learning and explorations to their subjects of science and social studies

Last week we had our last exhbition!
It marked an important occasion for us as the Learning Showcase series came to an end with the first school we onboard for the Learn Around Nature program.

From 6th grade speaking about their local problems at the neighbourhood park to our senior most batch speaking about local solutions to global problems related to preserving native biodiversity, this exhbition had it all!

Cheers to learning through nature!

The Learning Showcase was the culmination of the Learn Around Nature Program at the Subhash and the Newton schools. The children having solved for the issues of play spaces in the city, presented their findings during the exhbition. This provided them a space to voice out their needs and wants to their teachers and public. It serves as the first step in getting the younger generation involved in aspects of local governance and introducing them to take climate-action.

From wondering what the biodiversity around us is like to understanding BMTC buses, the exibition was the culmination of the Learn Around Nature Program at CES school.

Visitors shared their experiences and insights with our children.

"The boundaries in the curriculum are artificially created, and it was great to see how the projects broke these boundaries. It was a clear testament to interdisciplinary practices where we could see elements of the NEP coming alive." said on of our visitors.

The exhibition served as a space to discuss education, the society and beyond.

Thicket Tales hosted a two-day nature-immersive experience at Shimoga for the team along with .org.in where participants explored the possibilities of feasible solutions to garbage pollution and the importance of biodiversity within the scope of climate action. We had a nature-based curriculum-building workshop where they designed and shared ideas for programs that would help the younger generation reconnect with nature.

The Episode was Topography. Have you ever wondered why rivers don't flow straight but in curves? That was the question.
Here is what some of our Children had to say:

Girl 1: Because if it goes straight… there will be more water outflow and people will die

Girl 2: So that it can give water to more people on what way as it goes through different cities.

Now, neither might be the right answer, and they went on to learn about why rivers meander. But what stands out is the view that nature provides for us all and it is consdierate of all species in the ecoystem in different ways. Perhaps a lesson humans could borrow to implement in our societies?

Thicket Tales: A Breath of Fresh Air Thicket Tales has brought a whirlwind of energy and excitement to our classrooms. Every Wednesday, grades 6, 7, and 8 eagerly anticipate their sessions, where learning is transformed into an active and engaging adventure. Even the driest or most abstract topics come alive under their skilful teaching. It's not just the students who are benefiting; our teachers are also gaining valuable insights into creating a more proactive and participatory learning environment. The shyest students, who were once hesitant to speak up, are now blossoming and finding their voices.
