FKCCI Apex organization for Industry, Trade & Service sectors in Karnataka. FKCCI today has a membership drawn from all sectors of Industry, Trade & Services.

FKCCI has been serving the interests of the Business community since its inception 1916, in Karnataka, India. The Chamber has had a distinguished array of businessmen and industrialists at the helm of FKCCI, establishing it as an apex organization for Industry, Trade & Service sectors in Karnataka. FKCCI has sought to promote the national interest by way of both public and private sector led, economic growth and has played a catalytic role in policy making at the State and Central level. With a century of service in commerce and industry, it is no wonder that the FKCCI stands as one of the five foremost chambers in the country apart from being the oldest parent chamber of any state in India.The Federation is a member of national bodies like FICCI, ASSOCHAM and also the International Chamber of Commerce. Being a member of global trade associations, FKCCI facilitates collaboration of trade between Karnataka`s industries and overseas enterprises, and also holds dialogues with international trade entities.

A Courtesy Meeting with Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Former Chief Minister of Karnataka

Had the privilege of meeting Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, at his residence and extending a warm and cordial invitation on behalf of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry.

During the meeting, the FKCCI leadership invited Shri Siddaramaiah to grace and inaugurate the 109th Annual General Meeting of FKCCI, scheduled to be held on Friday, 25th September 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sir M. V. Auditorium, FKCCI, Bengaluru.

It was a moment of great honour and delight for FKCCI as the Hon’ble Former Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation and consented to grace the occasion.

The invitation was extended by Ms. Uma Reddy, President, FKCCI, along with Sri T. Sairam Prasad, President-Elect, and Sri B. P. Shashidhar, Senior Vice President-Elect, FKCCI.

The 3rd Edition of the FKCCI Tourism Convention 2026, organised by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, brought together industry leaders, investors, startups, entrepreneurs and tourism professionals to deliberate on the future of tourism in Karnataka.

The Convention was inaugurated by Dr. A. V. Srinivasan, in the presence of Smt. Uma Reddy, President, FKCCI; Sri T. Sairam Prasad, President-Elect; Sri B. P. Shashidhar, Senior Vice President-Elect; Dr. A. Balaji Rao, Chairman, Tourism Committee; and Smt. Rupa Rani, Programme Coordinator.

At the Valedictory Ceremony, delivering the keynote address, Sri P. K. Murugan, President, JSW Steel, Vijayanagar, highlighted the need for Karnataka’s tourism strategy to move beyond visitor numbers and focus on creating rich, meaningful and memorable experiences.

Tourism, he noted, is more than travel — it is an economic and social ecosystem that creates employment, encourages entrepreneurship and opens opportunities for local communities, artisans, women, youth, tourist guides, hospitality professionals and cultural artists.

The importance of balancing tourism development with heritage conservation was also emphasised, with Hampi and the heritage conservation initiatives of the JSW Foundation serving as examples of how development and preservation can progress together.

The Convention also celebrated and congratulated award winners across various categories for their contributions to strengthening Karnataka’s tourism landscape.

The programme was attended by Dr. M. R. Seetharam, Hon’ble Member of the Legislative Council.

Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry conferred the prestigious Sir M. Visvesvaraya Award 2026 on Mrs. Geethanjali Vikram Kirloskar, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the economic development of Karnataka.

The award was presented at a special ceremony at the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Auditorium, FKCCI, in the distinguished presence of Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, along with the FKCCI leadership, members of the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Jury Committee, industry leaders, past presidents, managing committee members, members of the Visvesvaraya family and representatives from Toyota Kirloskar Industries.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Uma Reddy, President, FKCCI, highlighted the importance of recognising individuals who embody the values of enterprise, innovation and service associated with Sir M. Visvesvaraya.

Dr. Shalini Rajneesh spoke on the enduring legacy of Sir M. Visvesvaraya and emphasised the importance of knowledge, innovation, ethical values, women’s participation and strong industry–government collaboration in driving Karnataka’s economic growth.

Accepting the honour, Mrs. Geethanjali Vikram Kirloskar expressed her gratitude to FKCCI and reaffirmed her commitment to contributing to industry and economic development in the spirit envisioned by Sir M. Visvesvaraya.

FKCCI continues to honour individuals whose contributions strengthen Karnataka’s journey towards enterprise, innovation and sustainable economic development.
