MEI Polytechnic Rajajinagar

naugurated by Sri S. Nigalingappa, the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka.
1975 Electronics and Telecommunication branch was added.
1975 MEI Evening polytechnic was started with Electrical and Machanical branches.
1983 Silver jubilee of MTES was inaugurated by Sri Govind Narain, the then Hon'ble Governer of Karnataka.
1984 Computer science and Electronics Instrumentation branches were added.
1985 Inter polytechnic sports meet was organized at M.E.I Polytechnic.
1986 State level "Do it yourself Technical Exhibition " was organized.
1988 Inter polytechnic sports meet was organized for the second time.
1990 World Bank assistance through DTE.
1991 The only polytechnic in the state to be selected under project impact of D.O.E, Govt. of India, for upgradation of Electronics and Computer and Science Depts.
1992 One among 4 polytechnics in Karnataka to be selected under Canada India Co-operation project (CIICP), for training in HRD.
1997 Celebrated the birth Centenary of Founder President Sri R.D.Char.
1997 The Industry attachment programme (IAP) was introduced to train the students in industry.
2000 Obtained ISO 9002:1994 certification for Electronics and Computer science Engineering departments.
2002 Selected under community polytechnic scheme (MHRD Govt. of India) to upgrade social and Economical standards of rural and urban society.
2003 Obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification for all six Departments.
2004 New Mission statement and new logo of the institution "Knowledge Character Progress" was unveiled.
2005 Golden Jubilee of MTES was celebrated.
2007-08 Golden jubliee of MEI polytechnic was celebrated.
2008-09 Obtained re-certification of ISO 9001:2008 for all the departments.
2009-10 Digital library was established.
2009-10 Installation of power generation system ( Windmill and Solar).
2010-11 Installation of Green Power project (Solar Street Lights).
