ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣರಿಗೆ ನೆರಳಿತ್ತ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ಗೆ 50 ಹಳ್ಳಿಯವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಸರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಾಜಾಜಿನಗರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಮಂಟಪ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಲಯ 50ರ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿದೆ. 1964ರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

I am glad to inform you all that RKMT OLD-BOYS ASSOCIATION(R) was formed and registered on 02/09/2013 with the following objectives and ad-hoc office bearers. Kindly become members of the association (Life membership: Rs. 1000-00 and Donor member: Rs. 9000-00). Bank A/C opened in CANARA BANK, Hebbal Branch.

The application form, Bank A/c Nor and Bye-law summary will be sent to u all very soon.

Further, recently (on 23/09/2013) first Executive Council meeting was held and unanimously decided to

1) Nominate Mr. Y. A. Narayanaswamy, Hon. MLC (RKMT alumini during 1983-89) as Hon. President and 4 others as Co-option EC members

2) Conduct donor-trustees felicitation ceremony during 2nd week of NOV'13 (tentative) subjected to the consent of RKMT/Saiprasad Sir.

3) Initiate preparation/ mobilize resources for the said ceremony

4 The Aims and Objectives of the Association
4.1 To promote gratitude and feeling of affection, among the former and present boarders, towards the RKMT, hostel management and hostel donors; and foster interaction among the RKMT hostel management, alumni and students of RKMT hostel.
4.2 To encourage the alumni to take abiding interest in the progress of RKMT hostel.
4.3 To institute and organize scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving boarders of the RKMT hostel.
4.4 To felicitate/honor achievers/distinguished members of RKMT/Hostel Donors/RKMT students / RKMT alumni to inspire the students of RKMT hostel by such interactions.
4.5 To promote cultural/sports/academic/health-awareness activities among the present boarders of RKMT.
4.6 To strengthen bond of goodwill and brotherhood among the alumni and families, to share the progress, knowledge, developments etc. by arranging social gatherings.
4.7 To provide a platform for discussing social/economic/techno-scientific problems and latest technological developments in rural perspective.
4.8 To promote activities aiming at improving of knowledge/attitude/aptitude/academics of RKMT students through lectures/seminars/career guidance programs etc.
4.9 To mobilize resources for supporting and fulfilling the aims and objectives of the Association.
4.10 To undertake and promote all such activities as are conducive to the attainment of the above objectives and/or beneficial to the interest of the RKMT/ RKMT Hostel/ RKMT students/RKMT alumni.
4.11 The Association shall be of charitable in nature or character.
412 The Association can receive funds, donations, grants and financial and material assistance in the interest of achieving aims and objectives of the Association from members, donor members and various donors (including Govt., NGOs and individuals).

5. Membership
5.1 Eligibility to become member: Any person who is alumni/former boarder of RKMT Hostel, for at least one academic year, and has attained at least 18 (Eighteen) years of age can be admitted as life-member through prescribed form and membership fee.
5.2 Membership fee
(i) Life-membership fee is Rs. 1000/- (Thousand Rupees Only). However, if a person willing to become member while leaving the hostel, the membership fee is Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only).
(ii) Donor Life-member: Any member can become donor life-member by paying Rs.9000/- (Nine Thousand Rupees Only).
5.3 Powers and privileges to the members
(i) All the members of the Association are eligible to: vote and contest for Executive Committee; participate in the AGB and GBMs; propose amendments to the bye-laws; and participate in the activities of the Association.
(ii) Any member of the Association may apply to the Secretary for any information as may be required or any matter of the subjects or rules and regulations of the Association specifying the purpose.
(iii) Any member of the Association may suggest/propose particular activity in compliance with the objectives of the Association; however, the Executive Committee’s decision shall be final in implementing such proposals.
5.4 Membership is not transferable.
5.5 Cancellation of membership
Membership is liable to be cancelled (without any monetary returns) in the following circumstances.
(i) Termination of membership on unsound mind or death.
(ii) The member acting against the objectives of the Association and other reasons, which purportedly damage the reputation of the Association or RKMT hostel, as perceived by the Executive Committee.
(iii) Membership is liable to be cancelled if the member indulges in misappropriation of the Association funds, makes derogatory remarks against the Association/RKMT hostel or disrepute the Association/RKMT hostel or Association office bearers.
(iv) The provisions in the clauses (i) to (iii) above are subjected to the decision of the Executive Committee.

ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಮ೦ದಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ೦ತೆ ಆರ್. ಕೆ. ಎಮ್. ಟಿ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಶುರುವಾಗಿ ೨೦೧೩ಕ್ಕೆ ೫೦ ವರ್ಷಗಳಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಇದು ಆರ್. ಕೆ. ಎಮ್. ಟಿ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊ೦ಡ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡಬೇಕಾದ೦ಥ ವಿಷಯ. ಇ೦ಥ ಸ೦ತೋಷದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್. ಕೆ. ಎಮ್. ಟಿ ಸ೦ಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ.

ಆದ್ದರಿ೦ದ, ೧೯೬೩ರಿ೦ದ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಆರ್. ಕೆ. ಎಮ್. ಟಿ ಸ೦ಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಡೆದುಕೊ೦ಡಿದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇರಿ ೫೦ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ೦ಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆ೦ದು ಹಿರಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನಾರ೦ಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ರೂಪುರೇಷಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಜೂನ್ ೧ ಭಾನುವಾರದ೦ದು ಸಭೆ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ೧೯೭೯ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ೦ಥ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿ೦ದ ೨೦೧೩ರವರೆಗಿನ ೫೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊ೦ಡಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ನ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಹಾಗು ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಶ್ರೀ ವೈ. ಎ. ನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ೦ಸ್ಥೆಯಿ೦ದಾದ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ನೆನೆಪಿಸಿಕೊ೦ಡು, ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ೦ತೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸಭೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ೦ತಿವೆ,
೧. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸ೦ಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಹಾಯ ಪಡೆದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು
೨. ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸ೦ಘವನ್ನು ನೊ೦ದಾಯಿಸಿ, ಅದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಸ೦ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿವುದು.
೩. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ, ಡೋನರ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕುಟು೦ಬ ಸಮೇತರಾಗಿ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುವುದು.
೪. ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ, ಡೋನರ್ ರನ್ನು ಶಾಲು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, ಹಣ್ಣು-ಹ೦ಪಲು ಹಾಗು ನೆನಪಿನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವುದೊ.
೫. ಸಾ೦ಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದು

ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅ೦ಶಗಳೊ೦ದಿಗೆ ಸಮಾರ೦ಭವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಿದ್ದು, ಶೀಘ್ರ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
