An orientation program on sparking entrepreneurship was held at Banagalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) on 10.11.23 for the students of University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore. The interactive sessions on viz Incubation and start-up ecosystem at BBC, Role of IP in Business Development and Fundraising-What , When and How for the start-ups were very insightful for the budding talents.

NIDHI - SEED SUPPORT (SS) PROGRAM by Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre
Funding Support of Rs.10 Lakhs to 25 Lakhs
Objective:
The key objective of the NIDHI- SEED SUPPORT (SS) PROGRAM is to ensure timely availability of the
seed support to the deserving incubatee startups within an incubator, thereby enabling them to take
their venture to the next level and facilitate their success in the marketplace. The scheme also
enables the incubators to widen their pipeline of startups and also share the success of their
startups which would also result in ensuring their long-term operational sustainability.

Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) hosted Dr. Ekroop Caur, Secretary, Department of Electronics Information Technology Biotechnology and Science & Technology- GoK and Ms. Parnika Pavanram, GM- BT today. The delegates had a glimpse of the startup ecosystem and its major challenges. There was also an interactive session with the startups incubated at BBC.

The Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) and the International Federation of Innovators Association Bharat (IFIA Bharat) have announced a partnership to drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the bioinnovation landscape. The collaboration will encompass a variety of initiatives, including innovation scouting, training programs, events, and technical advice. The goal of the partnership is to foster innovation and commercialization in the bioinnovation sector.

Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre ( BBC) hosted the team from Santa Fe, Argentina. It was a great honour to have an interactive platform with the team and to showcase BBC’s facility and the startup ecosystem. The team also interacted with the startups incubated at BBC and had a glimpse of their success stories. The faculty members of Biocon academy visited Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre as part of their Faculty Development Programme to explore the startup ecosystem and give a real time training to their students.

Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre participated at BIO USA, 2023 at Boston from 5th to 8th June. It was a great opportunity for BBC to be a part of the academic campus programme and participate amongst some of the top universities and Innovation Centres across the globe.
