Ta dit tta | Nrithyadeepika Abhyasa malika | #kalakshetra #bharatanatyabasics #nk #adavus 22/05/2023

Ta dit tha is a unique adavu that we usually use in Jatis or Korves. It's unique because this is the only Adavu that is performed with left leg first and then followed by right in Kalakshetra style.

The common pattern that we see is that this adavus is usually precedes the muktaya adavu. It's a simple yet unique one.

Starting our advanced set of adavus -

Egar Tattadavu is one of the dashavidha adavus (basic steps) in the Indian classical dance form of Bharatanatyam.

It is a dynamic adavu that showcases quick movements and rhythmic patterns. It requires immense hand and leg coordination making it one of the most challenging, but beautiful Adavus.

Welcome back to your Bharatanatyam practice after the holidays! To help you ease back into your dance routine and regain your strength and technique, we have prepared a comprehensive adavu series for you.

Adavus are the basic building blocks of Bharatanatyam, consisting of rhythmic footwork patterns. This series will focus on the fundamental adavus, ensuring a solid foundation for your dance practice.

Before you begin practicing the adavus, it is essential to warm up your body. Start with a gentle warm-up routine, including stretches for your legs, arms, neck, and torso. Practice deep breathing exercises to increase your lung capacity and focus your mind.

Pay attention to your posture, hand gestures, facial expressions, and overall gracefulness. Regular practice will help you develop strength, flexibility, and coordination, enabling you to progress in your Bharatanatyam journey.

Enjoy your post-holiday practice, and may you excel in your dance endeavors!
