Jyoti Nivas College, Autonomous presents to you, “Mediatron", an annual national-level media symposium coordinated by the Department of Communication and Media of JNC. The internet holds infinite possibilities, in art, culture, technology, in terms of shifting paradigms, redefining perspectives, and constructing and reconstructing new realities through alternate narratives. It is an infinitesimal portion of these infinities that we seek to unravel, as we try to grapple with the infinite power of online media in Mediatron 2017 – Net ∞
Recognizing the power of social media as an important social platform, this year's symposium is based on the theme: “Net ∞ - changing perspectives and reconstructing narratives". Through this symposium, we hope to analyze and explore all aspects of social media. The symposium includes a key note address, panel's discussion, paper presentations, and multiple other events revolving around the same thought, idea and theme. There will also be workshops on popular forms of entertainment which will be conducted at the event. Prominent personalities from various streams of media will rendezvous at the event to help educate and stimulate our minds on why social media is more than just a digital imprisonment
