The Hidden Power of a Checklist
Few years ago, I had come across a book titled “The Checklist Manifesto” by Atul Gawande. I learnt the power of a and went on to make few checklists for implementing processes in my business. And it worked. My efficiency increased even though I needed to train or re-emphasize the same point whenever it wasn’t followed.
Recently, I came across this HBR article “A Checklist for Making Faster, Better Decisions” by Erik Larson and saw few stats that emerged during Erik’s study, one of which was:
“In a three-month study of 100 managers, we found that managers who made decisions using best practices achieved their expected results 90% of the time, and 40% of them exceeded expectations” states the HBR Article.
