They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we are so honored to have been chosen as theirs. 🏡✨
When this parent shared during our Ziro Fest that they shifted from JP Nagar to Rajarajeshwari Nagar just to give their son a strong start with us, we were absolutely speechless.
Entrusting a school with a 16-month-old requires immense faith. Thank you for that trust. We are so excited to watch your little boy explore, learn, and thrive in our open spaces.
Thank you for choosing us to be a part of his village, for believing in our vision, and for letting us nurture his early years. 🍃👶

🛶 A Slice of Srinagar at Camp 🍎
We took a magical detour today! Our campers didn’t just learn about the Kashmir to Kanyakumari journey—they lived it.
From the gentle "waters" of our makeshift Dal Lake to the shade of our "apple orchards," the spirit of the Valley was truly alive. It was a day filled with vibrant colors, traditional silhouettes, and a whole lot of imagination.
Highlights from the Valley:
The Floating Market: Our very own Shikara boat was loaded with hand-painted blooms as the kids reenacted the world-famous floating flower market. 🌸
Orchard Magic: Our campers looked absolutely stunning dressed as Kashmiri girls, wandering through our "apple orchards" and learning about the harvest traditions of the North. 🍎✨
Cultural Connection: Beyond the costumes and props, we explored the stories, the crafts, and the warmth that makes Kashmir so special.
It’s more than just a dress-up day; it’s about discovering the beautiful threads that weave our country together.

🌷 Growing Our Own Garden 🎨
There’s no "budding" talent quite like what we saw at our summer camp! Our campers—from our tiniest 2-year-old explorers to our 10-year-old masters—turned the studio into a vibrant field of tulips.
It’s amazing to see how a simple flower can look so different through the eyes of a child:
The Littles (2-4 yrs): Sensory fun with finger-painted petals and bright, bold splashes of color.
The Middles (5-7 yrs): Working on those fine motor skills with tall stems and sunny skies.
The Bigs (8-10 yrs): Adding depth, shading, and their own unique artistic flair to every bloom.
Whether they used brushes, sponges, or fingers, every single tulip is a masterpiece. We might have some paint on our clothes, but we’ve got a lot of joy in our hearts! ❤️✨
🏔️ From the Peaks to the Pier 🌊
Our spirits are soaring higher than the Himalayas today! This May at summer camp, we’ve been busy crafting our very own Kashmir to Kanyakumari prayer flags—a colorful bridge connecting the northern heights to the southern shores. 🇮🇳
Each flag represents a wish for peace, a breath of mountain air, and the rhythmic pulse of the ocean. As the wind catches them, we’re sending out vibes of unity and adventure across the entire length of the country.
Blue for the sprawling skies of Ladakh.
White for the peace we carry in our hearts.
Red for the energy of our camp spirit.
Green for the lush valleys and tropical coasts.
Yellow for the bright sunshine following us from North to South.
Watching these flutter in the breeze is the perfect reminder that no matter how far we travel, we’re all under the same sun. ☀️✨
🌿 Brewing Ancient Wisdom! 🍵
At our Sandipani Ashram, our little seekers explored Bheshaja Vidya—the art of healing. From crushing fresh ginger to the aroma of Tulsi, we learned that nature is our best pharmacy. Making our own herbal kashaya isn't just about the drink; it’s about learning the balance of 'Pramana' (measurement) and the power of Ayurveda.
In the context of your Sandipani Ashram theme, a kashaya (an Ayurvedic water-based decoction) is often described as "liquid gold" for the body. It works as a natural cleanser and a shield, especially for growing children.
Here is how kashaya helps the body, broken down by its functional benefits:
1. Natural Immunity Shield
Kashaya is most famous for being an immunomodulator. Ingredients like Tulsi (Holy Basil), dry ginger, and black pepper stimulate the production of white blood cells. This helps the body fight off common seasonal infections, coughs, and colds before they take hold.
2. Digestive "Agni" Support
In Ayurveda, kashaya is often used to kindle the Agni (digestive fire).
Ginger and Cumin: These help in the secretion of digestive enzymes.
Metabolism: It helps in better nutrient absorption from the other nutritious meals (like ragi or curd rice) the children are eating at camp.
3. Detoxification (Shodhana)
Because kashaya is made by boiling herbs until the water reduces, the medicinal properties become highly concentrated. This helps:
Flush out toxins from the bloodstream.
Clear the respiratory tract of excess mucus.
Cleanse the throat (especially helpful during changes in weather).
4. Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Many kashaya ingredients, particularly turmeric and cinnamon, are potent anti-inflammatories. For active children running around in a summer camp, this helps in:
Reducing internal physical fatigue.
Soothing the throat if it becomes irritated from singing or outdoor play.
5. Balancing the Doshas
Kashaya is typically designed to balance the three Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha). Depending on the ingredients used.

Bringing the ancient wisdom of the 64 Vidyas to life at Sandipani Summer Camp! 🌿✨
Today, our campers explored the cooling power of Mehendi. Beyond the beautiful patterns lies Visakajyotir-vidya—the science of using plants for well-being. Henna is a natural coolant, perfect for keeping little ones refreshed during the summer heat. ☀️
It was heart-melting to watch our older children mentor the younger ones, practicing patience and care. This is how we keep our traditions alive! 🧡
