👩🏾‍💻 Meet Ariana. Like many school girls, Ariana loves gaming, but she often finds herself in a male-dominated field. She dreams of pursuing a career in gaming but is often discouraged by stereotypes and the lack of female role models in the gaming industry.

by our industry partner Zynga Inc. is changing the game by introducing high school girls like Ariana to careers in gaming. The 6-week free after-school mentorship provides school girls the skills, confidence and inspiration to pursue careers in gaming and tech.

At GirlsGame2, Ariana met industry mentors, built a gaming prototype with Zynga and received 1:1 career guidance. She is now confident about pursuing a STEM career and has discovered her future in the gaming field. As Ariana puts it, “GirlsGame2 didn’t just teach me how to design my own game. It showed me that I belong in this industry.”
