We tried to create an easy to replicate and sustainable model to help primary teachers close early learning gaps. Four years later we realized that we failed. While vChalk closes, its vision to ensure all children can express their ideas in English and love learning will always remain alive.

vChalk’s MISSION was to help 1 million children in schools across semi- and urban India catch up on basic English and Math skills for learning. Did you know?
The project is now inactive. Across the developing countries, 4 in 10 children don’t have basic skills after 5 years in school. Children who are first in their family to learn can’t read simple words or do basic math.
