Post the cancellation of Utsaha in 2020 due to COVID, there has been a far reaching need for rejuvenation and unwinding for a position mindset.

The thought of not having Utsaha for two years in a row was deeply disappointing to all students. But guess what? Utsaha is officially moving online! And now coupled with BMSIT Got Talent, BMSITans are ready to have fun, build new friendships and social interactions with further honing and developing soft skills, interpersonal, communication, time management etc.

• Kapil Sharma, Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Founder - SayTrees and TEDx Speaker from Chattisgarh.

A dynamic leader, he effeciently balancing his entrepreneurial roles and professional career. Kapil moved to Bengaluru about 11 years ago and was shocked at the rate the city’s green cover was vanishing. He soon started planting trees across the city during weekends. Fast forward thirteen years, and he has planted over 6,00,000 saplings all over Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, Lucknow etc. He has also founded an NGO called SayTrees in 2007, dedicated to saving the environment and make the city greener by taking the message to different schools, institutions, villages, and communities. The initiative is creating forests in rural areas so the farmers may receive some help in procuring fruit saplings to earn a parallel income. Say Trees has also started to rejuvenate lakes. have rejuvenated 4 lakes so far. It is an honour to have such socially responsible citizens in our country, constantly helping us give back to our Mother Nature!

• Anand Malligavad, a Mechanical Engineer by profession, captured people's attention when he single handedly restored a 36 acre dried lake in just 45 days. What began as a CSR activity became his calling as he soon left his job for restoring the city's water resources to their old glory. Anand, now turned Lake Conservationist, has revived 7 lakes so far and aims to bring back 45 of the city's water bodies back to life by 2025.

Team Meets with Student Ambassadors!
Team Meet 2.0
At the meeting, second year ambassadors were introduced to the team. Topics of discussion included; Nomination of pillar lead and co-leads, initiation of activities under each of the 4 pillars and BMSIT Got Talent.
Team Meet 3.0
At the meeting topics of discussion were; development of roadmap and strategy for each of the pillars by pillar leads, call for volunteers for each of the pillars across BMSIT, selection of co-leads for all pillars, BMSIT Got Talent, Employer's Meet and Higher Education MeetUps.

After a week of continuous interviewing, we have the leads for each pillar! The results were announced by our Chairman, Sri M Madan Gopal during a meeting with the Student Ambassadors.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved alumnus, Kishan Gupta of CSE 2017. Kishan spearheaded a significant amount of software development (alumni portal, attendance management software, free software group to name a few) at BMSIT&M. May his soul rest in peace.
