These simple and vibrant Sunflowers were created by the kids of 5-8yrs batch. This was the first time they were using water colour tube paints, mixing colours in their palettes. They chose the background colour, gave it some texture with ear-buds and finally painted their flowers yellow, and a pinch of orange in the center to give it some depth.
What a lovely class that was.. such excitement, such seriousness and interest witnessed, such professionalism by these young artists.
WOW.. GREAT MOMENTS TO CHERISH!!

The day I had my 5-8 batch children paint the rocket in space was a really special and a memorable one. Not only was it a mesmerizing painting but also a super successful activity. In fact I had all the kids at their creative best, each one enjoying every moment of it. Initially the kids painted a dark blue background on which they painted many stars and 1 or 2 planets. Some kids made rings around them. During this time my class was turning into a science GK QUIZ competition, each one discussing and sharing knowledge about our Solar system.Had to drag them back when the conversation was going as far as the Aliens!! Never mind..
So next I told them to make a rocket and then to make their self portrait. SUCH EXCITEMENT!!
And well.. ultimately a superb and commendable!! WELL DONE KIDS.

Thees tiny tots of 3-5yr batch also made some exotic Mosaic art. The outcome had me spellbound!! How patiently they arranged the cut-pieces of coloured shapes was really a treat to watch..
They also made Sun-catchers by pasting bits n pieces of translucent paper on a OHP sheet.
Beautiful works!!

These children in the age group of 3-5 were pretty excited to make these crafts. The first one being a Ladybird- they painted a big thermocol plate in bright red colour upon which the children made black spots!
I also had them make giant Butterfly which was quite a long process for them to finish,i think they took almost 2-3 classes to finish. The most wonderful thing about this activity was making the colourful wings of the butterfly.. they took a big sheet, folded it half and made lovely colour mixing patterns (on one side of the sheet), thus taking their impressions on the other side too. They enjoyed making every bit of it!!

It was during this particular class, while drawing the FROG, that the miracle happened.. the children came up with lots of ideas for drawing many other things along with the frog. They drew a lotus, a rock for the frog to sit upon and filled the sky with birds and the \Sun.The class was a bundle of discussions each one commenting about their works and also suggesting what needs to be added to make it look better.
Such lovely time spent.. the children seemed to build a good rapport with each other thus learning GYAAN from each other.

Althought it was not monsoon season, I had the children paint a Rainy day. They enjoyed making an umbrella with all the rainbow colours, made their self portrait and lots n lots of dew drops. Sticking these cut-pieces of dew drops did check the patience level of all the kids!! A thoroughly engrossing art project for sure and quite enjoyable too.

These artworks r one of the most interesting and most successful project i hav ever had with these kids.Initially the children painted their backgrounds with any 2 colours of their choice, upon which they had to make a pattern using diff shapes/colours. Some kids almost went crazy looking at the variety of shapes provided.
Oh such lovely patterns they made..Over their background they stuck their painted flower(made by cutting half used bottles). the final outlook was just so awesome and amazing.. u all will agree with me.
Superb works children!!

Making these different kinds of cactus plants was such an enjoyable and awesome time spent creatively. The children were advised to draw and colour any cactus type/shape and also arrange them according to their choice.A very colourful project indeed.

This was a very popular craft made during Sankranti/Pongal festival. Ofcourse a very easy one, ans so every child enjoyed making them.I especially enjoyed the idea of pom-pom balls being used to give the effect of hot Pongal brewing out of the pot.

These were some of the Sankranti craft activities that was made by the kids- A Greeting card, Kite paintings and Rangoli were created with super excitement and interest. Just love the colour combinations that they hav used for making the Rangolis. The patterns and designs on the Pongal pots (greeting card) r equally commendable!!
