At Bharat Innovates 2026, the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID), IISc, signed an MoU with Nothing to strengthen industry connections for deeptech startups incubated at IISc. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Prof Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
Under this collaboration, Nothing will engage with startups incubated within the IISc ecosystem through mentorship, networking opportunities, startup programmes, and exploration of pilot or commercial collaborations. The partnership will also facilitate industry exposure and training initiatives for students and founders, including guest lectures and potential visits to Nothing facilities.
Prof G Rangarajan, Director, said: "IISc has a long history of fostering innovation and impact, alongside fundamental research and higher education. At the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID), IISc, we provide a unique incubation environment that nurtures deeptech startups seeking to solve problems with a global outlook. Stream-dwelling frog species in the Western Ghats tend to co-occur in groups with species of different body sizes, likely to avoid competition, IISc researchers found.
In addition, the species’ body size also dictated where it chose to inhabit.
