To preserve the tradition of the Vedas, the Shastras (Vijnana) and Yoga in their original form.To perpetuate the Gurukula tradition in the modern world.To cultivate a social-outlook and spiritual insight in the youth.To prove that the Rishi parampara is still relevant in this modern age.To teach the Shastras through the right medium i.e. THE PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE GURUKULAM -
The "Shashtra Parampara" (Tradition of Shastra) of Bharatavarsha is held in high esteem all over the world. We believe that this Parampara can flourish only through the Gurukula tradition. Moreover, with the growing influence of Western consumerism in this land of Bharatha, utilitarianism has mushroomed and the young and energetic men and women, solely dedicated to preserving our tradition as their life’s mission, have become rare. In this context, we consider it necessary that the youth take up the responsibility of such a mission in the modern age. Furthermore, we firmly believe that Vedic and Vedantic scholars must also cultivate a scientific temperament as well as become conscious of their social responsibilities. Scholarliness must shine in good nature. Kshatrabala (Dynamic power) must be well grounded on the Brahmabala (Spiritual might). SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE GURUKULA EDUCATION -
The education is for developing the personality and not for gathering information alone.Students learn from their Acharyas in a friendly environment.Study and research are done under the keen guidance of learned scholars.The competence of the students is examined by many sabhas like Ganapati Sabha, Vijaya Sabha, Sankranti Sabha and Yugadi Sabha adopting Shalaka and Pravachana systems.The medium of instruction and communication is Samskritam.The education system is five faceted viz. Veda, Vijnana, Yoga, Krishi (Agriculture), Kala (arts) for total development of the students’ personality.The development of social concern in inculcated in the students through social activities like Nityashakha, Gramasamparka, conducting Samskrita camps and festivals.Regular education is provided to the students without any caste discrimination. And at large, knowledge dissemination is undertaken in the society without any kind of discrimination of caste, gender or age.Students undergo modern education in different universities along with their study of the Veda, Vedanta and Yoga.
