Networking Event Alert

I am excited about this month’s event for two reasons, we are hosting in Jayanagar for the first time and what a unique experience we have waiting for you.

I’m sure you all love your coffee, from the delectable South Indian filter coffee to the cappuccino and espresso, we all have our favourites. I love to treat myself to a welcoming hot cuppa with my friends at least once a week.

This time I want to bring this coffee ritual to all of you, my wonderful community here at GWEN.

We are hosting a coffee pairing and networking event this month. Coffee when paired with the correct food can create a harmonious balance, much like wine or beer, who would’ve thought. Amazing right?

Join Geetu Mohnani, COO of Caffeine Baar and an Award Winning Barista as she takes you through the best way to pair your coffee with your food, from savoury to sweet. I can’t wait!

We have an amazing event with the wonderful Tahireh Lal.

Tahireh Lal (b. New Delhi, India) is an Indian artist and her practice is reflexive. Her work deals with ideas of movement and stasis that stem from her mobile existence. She uses local contexts and materials to explore ideas, particularly notions of time and home. Her ideas find expression in the form of video, installation and sculpture.

Her artwork has been featured at film festivals and in galleries both in India and at international events such as the Videonale in Bonne, Germany, and Nuit Blanche in Toronto, Canada. She had her first solo at Gallery SKE in Bangalore (2014) and was an Inlaks Fine Art Awardee for the year 2016. She received her Master’s in Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), University in Toronto, Canada. The OCAD University India Scholarship funded her graduate work. She completed her undergraduate education with distinction at the Srishti School of Art Design and Technology in Bangalore, India. She is currently based out of Koliabor in Assam, India.

Meet Deepthi Shetty

Deepthi was leading HR operations for PWC before quitting in 2021. In Jan 2022, she started Artitude, a bespoke picture framing studio with emphasis on detail and finish to enhance pictures, prints and photos. They offer customised framing, wall design and framing for projects.

“As an amateur artist myself, creativity comes naturally to me amd more so with my family involved in the home decor business. I always knew if I ever quit the corporate world, I would be in the home decor space.” says Deepthi. We are so excited to bring our Saturday Soirée back to its original form and meet you all in-person again.
