Rajguru Jayanti and Samskrutha Saptaha were observed with reverence and enthusiasm at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Banashankari, on 24th August 2026. The celebrations beautifully brought together the values of patriotism, sacrifice, knowledge and India’s rich cultural heritage.

During the assembly, at different venues, our Correspondent, Shri Vasanth Kumar Guruji, Pradhanachaya Smt Nanda Mathaji along with the Pramukhs, performed Pushparchane to the portrait of Shri Shivaram Hari Rajguru, commemorating his birth anniversary and paying tribute to his exemplary courage and supreme dedication to the nation. The floral tribute served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters for the country’s independence.

On the occasion of Samskrutha Saptaha, Pushparchane was offered to the revered idol of Goddess Saraswati, the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom and learning. This reflected the significance of Sanskrit as an integral part of India’s timeless intellectual and cultural heritage.

Following the floral tributes, our students eloquently presented the significance of Rajguru Jayanti and Samskrutha Saptaha, highlighting the values and ideals associated with both occasions. As part of the Sanskrit week observance, the students collectively chanted Chapter 18 of the Mahabharata, creating an atmosphere of devotion and cultural pride.

The celebrations were truly enriching and inspiring, reminding everyone of the importance of remembering our heroes, respecting our heritage and nurturing our timeless traditions. It was indeed a wonderful and memorable day!

The Vidya Bharathi State-Level Kho Kho Competition was held at Chamarajanagar on 22nd and 23rd August 2026. The event brought together talented young athletes from across the state, providing them with a wonderful platform to showcase their sporting skills, team spirit and competitive determination.

The Under-14 Girls’ Kho Kho team from Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Banashankari participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and confidence. Displaying remarkable agility, coordination, speed and strategic thinking, our young athletes performed exceptionally well throughout the tournament.

Their consistent efforts, strong teamwork and never-give-up attitude helped them emerge victorious, securing the Gold Medal at the state level. This outstanding achievement is a testament to their dedication, discipline and rigorous preparation.

The team has also qualified for the Zonal Level, marking another proud milestone for RVK-BSK. The school congratulates the players and their coaches for this remarkable accomplishment and wishes them continued success in the upcoming Zonal competition.

Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Banashankari, takes immense pride in congratulating its students for their outstanding performance at the Vidya Bharati Karnataka State-Level Yogasana Competition, held at Swami Vivekananda PU College, Puttur, Dakshina Kannada District.

With remarkable dedication, discipline and perseverance, our talented young yogis showcased exceptional skills and sportsmanship at the state-level competition. Their consistent practice and commitment to excellence bore fruit as they brought laurels to the school by securing an impressive 12 medals — 9 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.

This splendid achievement is a testament to the students’ hard work, determination and passion for yogasana. It also reflects the unwavering guidance and encouragement provided by their teachers, coaches and parents, whose support has played an integral role in their success.

Adding another feather to this glorious achievement, the outstanding performance of our students has earned them selection for the Vidya Bharati Zonal-Level Yogasana Competition. This accomplishment is a proud moment for the entire RVK family and serves as an inspiration to fellow students to pursue excellence through dedication and perseverance.

The team of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Banashankari is delighted to share the remarkable results of the Vidya Bharati State-Level Chess Competition. Our Under-17 Boys’ Team displayed exceptional strategic thinking, concentration, teamwork and determination throughout the competition and brought great pride to the institution by securing the Gold Medal.

Adding to this achievement, five of our talented students have qualified for the Vidya Bharati Zonal-Level Chess Competition. Their success is a reflection of their consistent practice, dedication and passion for the game, along with the valuable guidance of their coaches and the unwavering support of their parents and teachers.

*“The gift of blood is the gift of life.”*

A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised on 22nd August 2026 at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Banashankari, with the noble objective of encouraging the spirit of compassion, social responsibility and service to humanity.

The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the participants, with a total of 81 donors attending the camp. Of these, 66 donors successfully donated blood, while 15 donors were rejected or deferred based on the prescribed medical criteria. Every participant’s willingness to contribute towards this life-saving cause was truly commendable.

The camp served as a meaningful reminder that a small act of kindness can make a significant difference in someone’s life. The enthusiastic participation of the donors reflected the values of empathy, generosity and community service upheld by the institution.

Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Banashankari, sincerely expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all the donors for their valuable contribution and support. Their selfless gesture is an inspiring example of seva and humanity, encouraging others to come forward and contribute towards building a caring and responsible society.
