The Compass Within
Ravi, a 10th grader, felt like he was standing at a crossroad with dozens of paths but no map. His friends seemed so sure—engineer, doctor, designer—while he felt lost.
One day, his school organized a career counseling session. Ravi hesitantly attended, expecting another boring lecture. Instead, the counselor asked him about his dreams, interests, and strengths. They ran a psychometric assessment, showing him how his love for problem-solving and creativity could lead to a career in architecture.
For the first time, Ravi saw a clear path. His subjects, his next steps, even his long-term goal made sense.
Sometimes, the right guidance isn’t about telling you what to do—it’s about helping you discover what was already inside you.

Burnout is not laziness
Let’s be real.
It's Friday, and you're tired.
Not just sleepy-tired. but “don’t-want-to-think” tired.
And no one talks about it enough.
let’s call it what it is: burnout.
You don’t hate studying.
You’re not unmotivated.
Mentally, emotionally, and physically. Maybe all three.
Burnout looks like:
— staring at a page for 20 mins and not remembering a word
— feeling guilty for chilling even when you're drained
— losing interest in things that used to excite you
— wanting to do everything… but ending up doing nothing
and here’s the hard truth:
So breathe. pause. Log out for a while.
discipline won’t either.
REST will.
→ rest is not a waste of time
→ taking a break isn’t weakness
→ your brain needs downtime to function
so breathe. pause. log out for a while.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
At LAMP, we teach students that being ambitious is great, but protecting your peace is part of the process too.

Listen first. Speak later.
A lot of people today miss out on one REALLY important skill. LISTENING.
Most of us just wait for our turn to talk.
Some even cut people mid-sentence just to say what they want.
But here’s the thing: that doesn’t help ANYONE.
Not them, not you.
Listening helps you:
— Understand better
— Avoid unnecessary misunderstandings
— Learn faster
— Connect deeper
— And build real trust.
Now, that doesn’t mean don’t speak.
You should speak — but know what, when, how much, and to whom.
Master that balance, and you’re already ahead of most.
At LAMP, we help students build not just skills, but self-awareness.

Let’s talk about something not many people talk about :
How to DEAL with confusion
Everyone says “It’s normal to be confused”
Yes, It is normal.
You can’t expect someone to have everything in life figured out.
But the real question is : now what?
Let’s break it down:
Step 1: Look at what’s on your plate.
What are the options you’re considering? Note it down.
Step 2: Eliminate.
Strike off what you don’t want to do. Be honest here.
Step 3: Browse around.
Check out the remaining ones. Google, YouTube, whatever. Just see what’s out there.
Step 4: Reach out.
Text or mail someone from that field.
Even if 10 people ignore you, one response can give you clarity.
Now here’s something people don’t get
It’s okay to have many passions.
That doesn’t mean you’re confused. That just means you’re curious.
You don’t have to figure it all out before you start.
You figure it out on the way.
And the best part?
You can ALWAYS change.
This is YOUR life. Study, explore, mess up, grow, and most importantly — enjoy the process.
PS: To anyone who does have it all sorted — that’s great too.
But hey, you can always still do more.

Most students wait for the “perfect plan” or “the right time.”
But the truth is:growth begins when you take the first step, even if it’s not perfect.
Done is better than perfect. Start now, refine later.

It’s Saturday.
For most people, it’s a break.
From all the chaos, meetings, projects, deadlines, lectures.
Much needed.
But here’s a different perspective:
What if you used your weekends a little differently?
I’m not saying don’t chill.
But maybe also:
— Catch up on backlogs
— Listen to a podcast while walking
— Try something new
— Go for a trek
— Join a workshop
— Attend a seminar
Stuff that’s fun and helps you grow.
Also, do those tiny tasks you keep ignoring:
— Polish your shoes
— Iron your weekday clothes
— Clean up your space
So your weekdays feel lighter and less stressful.
But don’t force it.
Enjoy what you do.
Because honestly, what’s the point if you’re not happy?
Use your weekends well — not just to rest, but to reset.
At LAMP, we help students find this balance — between hustle and joy.

"The future of IT students is over."
"AI will take away all their jobs."
Heard stuff like this everywhere, right? Let’s actually talk about it.
Earlier, students mostly went into 3 fields : science mostly, a few commerce, and then a handful chose arts or humanities.
Why?
Because everyone thought taking science, becoming an engineer an getting a stable job is the only way to upgrade their living standards.
Commerce and arts didn’t guarantee all that.
So people kept choosing science.
And now with AI booming, most of them are choosing computer science.
Which means… even more competition.
Right now, students usually fall into 3 groups:
1. People who ACTUALLY like science.
2. People who don’t know what they want to do.
3. And those who are doing science just because their parents told them or forced them to.
Now let’s answer the actual question —
Will AI take our jobs?
Well, yes and no.
Yes — if you just sit back and depend on theory, or don’t learn how to use AI smartly.
No — if you use AI as a tool, to do your work faster, better and more efficiently.
Because no matter how smart AI becomes, it can’t replace the humans — your emotions, your logic, your decision-making.
And here’s a thought —
“Technology is a useful agent, but a dangerous master.”
Use AI to reduce your labour so you can do your art.
Don’t let AI do your art while you do the labour.
Also, recent studies show that people who use AI for everything — from homework to creative tasks — are slowly losing their original thinking skills.
So don’t be scared of AI.
Just don’t let it think for you.

Career Paths You’ve (Probably) Never Heard Of.
Not everyone has to be a doctor, engineer, or lawyer.
The world’s changing — and so are careers.
Here are a few paths you might have missed:
🔹 UX Writing – Crafting the words you read inside apps & websites
🔹 Ethical Hacking – Hacking legally to protect data & stop cybercrime
🔹 Behavioral Economics – Studying how people actually make decisions
🔹 Food Science – Blending biology + chemistry to innovate what we eat
🔹 Wildlife Filmmaking – Telling stories from the wild, literally
🔹 Sport Psychology – Helping athletes perform better mentally
You don’t have to follow the crowd.
You just need to find what clicks with you.

What school ACTUALLY teaches you.
Today,lets change YOUR perspective.
Everyone says “School doesn’t teach us anything useful.”
Why should we learn how Europe got independence?
Or memorize chemistry formulas or the universal question--know (a+b)² = a² + 2ab + b²?
Fair point — it does feel useless sometimes.
But here’s the thing — that’s actually a big misconception(a little misunderstanding from our side) .
School isn't just about facts.
It’s about learning how to learn.
It’s where you build social skills, awareness, networks, friendships, and honestly,a lot of life lessons too.
Now you might still say :“But what’s the point of studying random stuff?”
Here’s how to ACTUALLY see it:
You may not use every formula you’ve memorized.
But the focus, discipline, effort, and memory you built while studying?
That stays with you.
That one word you remembered might help in an interview.
That basic chemistry fact might help you in real life.
Out of the 100% we study, school knows we won’t remember it all.
But even if you remember 30% years later, that’s a win.
So yes, school might not teach “real life” directly.
But it teaches you how to handle real life. And THAT matters more than you think it does. At LAMP, we help students bridge this exact gap — between what’s taught and what’s needed.
Because education is more than marks — it’s preparation for life.

That’s why it’s essential to continually develop these skills every day. They’re not just “nice to have”. They’re must-haves.
There’s this girl who had an amazing portfolio: certificates, trophies, medals-everything.
But she still didn’t get the job. Sounds surprising, right?
The reason you ask? Soft skills. These are the real game changers that often get overlooked.
What exactly are soft skills? They’re the abilities that don’t come from technical knowledge — like communication, storytelling, listening, adapting, and managing stress.
These skills matter a lot today. They can either break your chances or help you achieve your dreams.
That’s why it’s so important to work on growing these skills every day. They’re not just “nice to have”. They’re must-haves.
At LAMP, we focus on building these soft skills because marks alone aren’t enough.
