Did you know Army Day is celebrated on 15th January every year in India?
This is the day, on 15th January 1949 to be exact, that the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army took over from the last British Commander-in-Chief of India. It is a day we celebrate with parades & military shows and honours our brave soldiers.

Elly’s Tips for Parents:
This is a great day to talk to your child about the brave sacrifice our soldiers make to protect our country and keep our families safe. You can show your little one pictures of soldiers in uniform, or a video of them braving it out in the border in extreme weather conditions, or even better, make a little flag or soldier’s badge of honour they can wear and flaunt on their dress all day!
