International Yoga day "Indian Ambassador @ Issykul, Kyrgyzstan".....IHSM team & Medical Students

50-day countdown to the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 was celebrated by the Embassy in colloboration with the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM, Kyrgyzstan ) Cholpon Ata on the shores of beautiful Issyk-Kul lake on 02 May 2026.

Ambassador Singh, accompanied by Vice Rector Dr. Daniel Chyngyspaev, Dean Ms. Eliza Aidyralieva and Ms. Sandhya participated in the event where approx. 100 students performed the Common Yoga Protocol. The Ambassador highlighted the importance of yoga for a healthy and balanced life. He also encouraged the participants to join celebration of IDY 2026 on 21st June 2026.

Alte University had the honor of hosting the Ambassador of India to Georgia - H.E. Mr. Amit Kumar Mishra, marking an important milestone in strengthening educational and cultural ties between the two countries 🤝

📌 From the university’s side, the meeting was attended by Vice President for Marketing and Business Development, Ani Amiranashvili; Dean of the International Medical School, Dr. Giorgi Gabisonia; and Head of the International Student Recruitment Unit, Mariam Mumladze. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Consul, Mr. Anil Yadav.

🔹 During the visit, the Ambassador was introduced to Alte University’s academic environment and international student community, with special emphasis on the opportunities available for Indian students.

The Ambassador was also given a comprehensive campus tour, where he explored the university’s modern infrastructure, learning facilities, student-centered environment, and the resources available for quality education 📚

🌐 With a significant number of Indian students already pursuing their studies in Georgia, such engagements play a vital role in fostering trust, strengthening bilateral relations, and further positioning Georgia - and Alte University in particular - as a preferred destination for medical education.
